More than enough for me.

It's brand new.
Effects section is generating a nasty clicking sound on chorus & other effects where a 1 Hz osc. modulates the sound (eg. no problem on reverb).
Only Master vol. & effect level has any effect on this clicking.
(Mute & other vol. have no effect).
Hope warrantee will fix it.

Has all the features I need in an acoustic amp. I use it mainly in kickback mode as fold back and Di into my pa, it works really well. I can adjust all of my sound from the front of the amp, eq, effects, my monitor levels as well as front of house levels, I can mute either vocal or guitar channels or both at anytime with out adjusting levels which is handy. I like to keep things simple and this suits me fine.

I run acoustic guitar and vocals through it and the sound is amazing. it has such a rich, tight sound and very punchy. I play solo acoustic stuff so everything I play and sing has got to be pretty well spot on, there is no hiding and this amp gives me a clear sound so I can hear every tiny detail that goes to front of house.

I would definitely depend on this amp, I use this amp and my pa at gigs so I know that if either one breaks down I can still get through a gig because this amp is loud enough to carry a large room or hall easily. It feels like such a solid unit as well metal corners (a must) simple compact design and control knobs are not protruding.

I have sent an email to Laney tech support for another amp I have and they replied within a week. No need for repairs.

Ive been playing for 30 years mainly for pleasure and I like equipment that is easy to use and that sounds great. I use a Maton ebg808c acoustic, a Fender Telecaster, an Art & Lutherie 12 string and a Seagull dreadnought (I love the Godin acoustics). I d be heartbroken I it were stolen, I could get by without it until I saved up to buy another one. I love it because it fits in perfectly with what I enjoy doing maybe I would fit it with a footswitch option as others have said and more eq control on the vocal channel, not necessary though. I honestly didn't compare it to anything else before I bought, it I saw it, heard it and loved it.

Bought in April 2005.
65w is ideal for small folk/blues venues.
1 instrument channel, 1 mic/instrument channel + extra channel with phono inputs for mini-disc, cd etc. Headphone jack is useful for setting up in a small venue without disturbing punters coming in - they expect a featured artist to 'get on with it' while they have a natter.
Plenty of effects for an acoustic player - if you want more, go electric. I will probably never use 60% but somebody will.
I play country & folk solo fingerstyle/singer & find that this amp gives the right sound for me with either of my Takamine guitars.
Only complaint - post buying I discovered there is no facility for a footswitch for effects - they are either on or off during your performance unless you have a capable 'roady'.

At high volume with a Takamine EAN10CX there was no distortion - never taken it to full volume, never needed it.
Small & discreet it suits my 'casual' style very well.
Versatile between the 2 guitars & with a couple of quick tweaks either guitar sounds great.
No noticeable background hum.

35 yrs but mainly using others amps.
Have owned Selmers & Fenders in the past, all systems with 12" speakers (4 to a cabinet) which meant lots of muscle/time to move around.
Small size makes it unobtrusive & portable.
Looked at Marshall acoustic + Laney LA 50 (& Fender but couldn't afford).
Chose A1 for slightly more power, better design cabinet even though higher price.
As above, a foot pedal facility would be good.

This is a brand new dedicated acoustic amp from Laney. It's small, and light weight. It has three channels. One well suited for saddle type pickups and another for instrument mic or vox. It also has a cd input. Might come in handy I guess. It features compression, which is handy and piles of gain available for low output pups. Nice parametric mid control and sweepable notch for eliminating feedback.
My only complaint is the lack of phantom power for the mic channel. I'm going to ding laney for that slip. Also I can't think of why an acoustic amp needs a headphone jack?

I'm using this amp for a variety of instruments. Mostly I'm playing finger style on nylon and steel string guitars. I'm using the K&K Pure Classic for the nylon strings and the Fishman Rare Earth humbucker on the steel strings. After trying a lot of acoustic amps I decided on this one as it just sounds great. It has the eq potential to take the quack out of the peizo. That's very important to me. It sounds lovely with my nylon string guitar. You'd swear you were hearing a mic.
The Fx are passable. Nice reverbs are in here with a bit of tweeking.
I find it loud enough for me. Stays very clean.

I've been playing 30+ years pro. Mostly electric but lately I enjoy the freedom of acoustic playing. Single/duo/group
This amp is good. There are probably better, but I like the price vs the sound/features. I would recommend it over everything in it's price point.
I do wish it had phantom power. I will have to cart around a power supply for my mic and an extra cable. Just more stuff to lose, break, forget...
I have had little contact with Laney products, but what I have heard and seen is good. Nice toneful amplifiers for the money. As to whether I'd buy it again, I'll have to see how it stands up to a few years of work and living in a truck.
