I don't know when Laney start to make the CK30 (out of the CK Keyboard Amp Line). But I bought it in 2003.

It's a small but good sounding 30 Watt Keyboard amp with all the basics you need.

- 2 line inputs with gain control
- Reverb with remote socket so you can turn it on/off with a pedal.
- Microphone input
- Headphones
- 2 band EQ (I wish it was 3)
- Output for signal to mixer

I wish there was an option for having verb on either one or two channels so if you have verb on your synth you'd turn verb off on that channel and use it for example on your drummachine.

Sound Quality : 9
The sound is the most surprising thing witht his amp.

Though the EQ control is limited to 2 bands but the sound is just incredible. This amp never sounds harsh or agressive.
I run a drummachine into it together with a synth, and the 30W amp handles that very nicely (don't use the amp on a stage then the 30W isnt't enough).

Reliability : No Opinion
I don't know, the way it's built is amazing,I as well own a small Marshall guitar amp but the Laney is simply built better (not that the Marshall is bad or so.)

Customer Support : No Opinion
I looked for Laney's email adress and could find it after two tries (GRRRRR).

As far as dealer/Laney service I don't know.

I ordered a Peavey and waited two weeks for it and it didn't come (they had to sell six (?) in order to ship them,so I said BYE BYE Peavey and ordered the Laney wich I could pick up at the distributioncentre a mile down the road from the shop).

So basicly I don't know how the support is but Laney want to sell amps Peavey don't it seems(I didn't even own a Peavey and there already was a problem delivering them.)

Overall Rating : 8
I got two drummachine/sequencer and a synth i run them into the Laney and they sound good as long you use it as practice and homerecording aid.

Together with my Marshall amp you can get a nice homestudio (not the best I know) for a reasonable price.

I as well considered Roland amps but they are too expensive for what they can do.

Good: Price/value,sound,3inputs,reverb,quality built.

Bad:2 band EQ,reverb only on/off for all inputs.
