Deffinently not a versatile amp...it sounds pretty good clean, but i dont like the distortion on this amp at all. Not much more then an EQ like bass, treb, mids, presence, gain...other then that nothing really...

Use a fender strat and an Ibanez guitar through it....it sounds good clean, but the distortion is crap...it is very loud however, but for the distortion, its almost too loud and messy...i dont like it..

I've been playing for 3 years, i have owned a few amps...I would much rather have a Marshall, or a Mesa/Boogie...i dont think i will ever buy a Laney product.....I wish it was more brutal and in your face.

Phat, hmmmm, Phat and quite phat. Nah, its got big sound 'cos thats what i like. I played a Marshall before and it couldn't do what i'm doin now. Then clean is quite nice when u want it to be, I use a multi effects unit with it which is why i only need one channel, so my clean is also my distortion and effects which is the only bummer. I put through shit and it takes well. I play a heavy sound very loud, many other amps couldn't hack it and made other undesired noises but this one dosen't.

It when dead once since i had it but its like 7-8 years old so give it a break. Since i got it back from being fixed and serviced its been amazing better sound performance everything! SO i'll let it off!

Best amp i've had for gigging and i'll probably record with it too. It hacks what i do well so it my good friend. Since i can't afford a Mesa Dual rectifeier, this keeps me happy, well happy.
