Its pretty standard has the classic two channels (clean and dist) and an EQ setting for bass mid and treble which ive found really useful. The crappy thing and the reason for which I gave it an 8 is cuz it doesnt have any built-in FX like reverb or somethin like that.
It also has a CD Line In and a Headphones output which I find really useful too cuz my house is pretty crowded and my family always complains cuz Im making too much noise.

I started using this amp with an Aria STG and the sound was pretty good. Now Im using it with an LTD Viper 50 through a BOSS ME20 and the sound can really be impressive. You can easily play it over drums, I know cuz Ive tried. The sound can get REALLY loud, a lot more than you would expect from it. The distortion channel is pretty good, not awesome, but for the price, it takes you where you want to.

This amp is really sturdy. Ive actually dropped it and its rolled around in the trunk of my car and its still in good conditions, only a couple of broken things but still works perfectly.

Ive never owned another amp this was my first but Ive played with a couple of Fenders of 30w (cant remember the model) and a Marshall. I gotta say the Laney sounded better than the Fenders and almost as good as the Marshall. I would say its really good, it has great sound and its definitely worth it. If it were lost or stolen, I would buy another one, not because I dont think this one is good, but because I actually feel its time to move on and get something better.

this amp is probably the best amp that you can get to start off because you can get good distortion for a solid state amp and nice clean sound. i play chili peppers and system of a down on this amp but once you get to be a better guitarist u'll want better distortion. this amp has the standard two channels(clean and distortion), headphone jack, cd/line input. i think that if you are looking at this amp, get the hcm15r because you will want the reverb for 40 bucks more. i use it as a practice amp in my bedroom, i wouldnt use it for gigs but it can over power a drumkit so thats all that matters. i cant wait to get a louder amp though lol.
THIS IS A GREAT SOLID STATE AMP
GREAT FOR BEGINNERS AND GREAT IF YOU JUST WANT A BEDROOM PRACTICE AMP!

i use a greg bennet rockwell and it sounds great with the amp when distortion is on about 7. its not noisy but of course it is on single coil guitar while on distortion. it can make overdrive or fuzz from low distortion or metal sh*t from lots of distortion. the clean channel get distorted when you turn it up to about 8, but chances are, you never will. the distortion isnt very brutal but its the best ur gonna get for a solid state amp.

i own a denio ds 30 distortion pedal which is the great pedal for heavy metal, an arion chorus pedal (nice nirvana style), gregg bennet rockwell. if it was stolen i would save some more money added on to insurance and get a louder amp. i love this amps portableness (i think thats a word), i take it every where because its light and a nice size.i compared this to a drive cd 200 15 watt which is louder than the laney but less quality. i wish it had reverb, it would just put the icing on the cake.
a great amp if your starting or you want something small 4 ur bedroom or smalltime jamming.
