Made in 2005 most likely. IT comes with a clean channel and 2 modes of distortion (wich I never use because of my Boss Me-50), 3 band Eq and Reverb. You can add a stereo footswitch to turn dist and reverb on and off.
Amplification is done full solid state and put out through a 10 inch speaker. You can also add another speaker. Power: 30 W

Sound Quality : 8
I play Metal using an Ibanez GSZ120 and a Boss Me-50 (MT-2 setting). Can't say anything about the amp distortion. I only tired it once but it souned too "low gain" for me. May be nice at higher volumes.
The speaker is really cool and gives my sound the final touch.
Also: I use this amp at gigs and acutlly (wich nobody ever thought) it REALLY is loud enough for stage monitoring... I only have to turn the clean volume to 5 and everything's fine.

Reliability : 10
It's gonna live forever I think. Built very stable.

Never needed

A very good to make the step from "home musician" into an amateru oder semi-pro band. It's very versatile and also reliable. Whenever you gig without Pa for the guitar, this one will give you the power you need. If it was lost or stolen I'd maybe try a bigger version, just to have some more headroom.

I am playing it with my Ibanez RG Prestige and I am very pleased with it. My primary style is prog rock/metal and it is very good for my style. It is better (for me) and cheaper then some Marshall MGs.
So much tone for small money.

Reliability : 10
Very solid and nice construction. Very good piece of amp art.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with customer support.

Overall Rating : 10

10" inch speaker, 30 w, 2 channels, crunch and max distorsion, headphone cd/line in, external speaker, footswitch entrance. Only one equalization :(

Sound Quality : 9
I'm using it with an IBanez gsa 60, the clean channel is wonderfull, very clear, is perfect to use with a pedal effect, you have to put it really high to note some distorsion. the crunch distorsion i really didn't used, i play punk, progressive rock, and some metal, i prefer the max, that sounds very heavy and i like it. the amp seems to be 50 w, very high volumen

Reliability : No Opinion
never broke

Customer Support : 7
i buy it used in mercado libre that is like an ebay here in argentina, they didn't give me any manual/warranty. but at now i didn't have any problem

Overall Rating : 8
i have it since 10 months im really happy with this first amp. for the price i think is the best amp that i could buy here. it's a pitty that it not have separeted equalizations for the 2 channels, i sometimes need that. and i yet didn't found any footswitch.

Solid state, 30W, 10" driver etc. Mine has reverb [HCM30R] made in 2002. Would have been good to get the footswitch but aah well. This thing is unbelievably loud! Clean channel remains so right up there too. i haven't gigged with it but it would be more than adeqate to do so.

Sound Quality : 7
I use an Epiphone G400 [SG] or a Les paul Custom clone through a Danelectro Daddy-O overdrive and sometimes a Zoom 505; it's all humbuckers so take this into account with regard to my review; I haven't tried it with a single coil-equipped ax. With this setup i can get pretty much any sound I want, especially coupled with the built-in distortion of this amp. I don't like the crunch on it's own as it sounds too "electronic" but the daddy-o warms it up quite nicely. I can get a nice tubey sound, especially with my G400. I mostly play punk//ska and a bit of classic rock, but also a variety of music in between. The clean channel has a really nice warm feel to it when use the EQ on my pedal with no overdrive. I find the EQ on the amp itself doesn't really give me the variety i'm after.

Reliability : 9
Super tough with metal grille as others have said. Reverb spring is a bit rattly but doesn't affect performance or reliability.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Haven't had to deal with the company [touch wood]

Overall Rating : 8
I've been playing guitar for about a year, but have been playing bass for about 5. If it were stolen i'd probably try something else as I don't think i could get one for the same price again [got it in a mega sale] and it's always good to try new things.

LANEY HCM30R
Solid state 30watt amp. It has two separate chanels, one for clean, one Crunch with a Max boost, both share the three-band equalizer. Also has cd input, headphone jack, footswith jack, and external speaker jack. It could have had seperate EQ for the seperate channels and the controls are a bit over crowded, but mine has a Reverb which is nice to have.

Sound Quality : 7
I use a yamaha H-S-H guitar, and mainly use the bridge Hbucker.
The clean channel is good and sounds a bit chorus-like, which is great, and it isnt too bassy.
The crunch channel could be used for punk, but it sounds mushy and fuzzy, lacking treble or clear sounds. But press the Max boost button and it cuts the mid and Metal sounds are here! This max makes up for the crunch sound as it clears the cloudiness of it, and there are a range of sounds available by adjusting the gain, like papa roach and metallica.
It The reverb is not very noticable. There is little hum/noise which is great.

I use a zoom 505m2 to get different sounds altogether though.

Reliability : 9
It has a tough lookin metal grill to protect the speaker and it has been kicked a bit, and nothings wrong so far!

Customer Support : No Opinion
I havent used it yet.

Overall Rating : 9
The price is amazing and was my first Big amp. It is definatley a good comepetition for a marshall G30, and if Laney included a footswitch then it would have been great! I might buy it again, but id try out other amps first, cos i didnt when i got it.

I play punk and metal, and its WICKED!
It has two separate chanels, one for clean, one for dirty. Has a three-band equalizer, cd input, headphone jack, footswith jack, and external speaker jack. I play in a band, and I use it in Volume 6 (The drummer dont uses mikes)
The bad things is that it doesnt includes a footswitch

Sound Quality : 10
The clean sounds are super clean, and the distortion has a Max boost Button that makes it sound very phat.
Not very noisy

Reliability : 10
The amp is very resistant, i use them on local gigs

Better than any marshall

i play alternative and metal, so this is THE right amp for this!!
it has clean and crunch channels. its 'only' 30 watts, but, lemme tell yer, this thing is LOOUUUUD!! i keep the bass on 50% and the floor shakes when i'm playing only quiet!!

Sound Quality : 9
i use a ibanez SA160 on the bridge humbucker > boss DD3 delay > boss DS2 distortion > amp. it sound sweet clean, distorted, loud, quiet whenever!! the crunch channel isnt too bad, but the lower frequencies dont sound like they are distorted at all. Hence the boss DS2 pedal.

nothins happened yet....

One HH invader 10", 30 watts class A

I play Metal!!!!

The Max distortion is fantastic, turn the crunch all the way up, crank the Bass, lose All your mids and have the treble at 4. Endless sustain and great lead tone. I play through a Legend strat copy. Sounds so cool on the angled pickup

Clean sound is beautiful, has a chorus like quality,

Noisy when you're too close, but expect that, very rarely feedbacks

It is Fucking Loud!!! Totally shits all over my friends Marshall TSL 60, I've gigged everywhere with it, without any micing

Reliability : 10
no probs here

Gave me a catalogue with the warranty card, fantastic

Overall Rating : 10
