This thing has a good clean channel, equalisers, reverb, headphone jack for silent practice and CD/MP3 player-in feature. Good enough for its relatively small price tag.

Sound Quality : 8
Excellent clean channel. However, don't count on the in-built overdrive and hardcore max channels - hardly produces any useful sound. But this doesn't bother me cos it produces good sound when I use my favourite effects pedals for my distortions, overdrives, choruses etc. It's very loud especially considering its small size and light weight. For my home practice, the volume level is usually between 1-3.

I would give the sound a rating of 10 if the crunch channel is not that muddy and useless.

Reliability : 10
This thing is tough.

Never needed to send it for to customer service.

Overall Rating : 9
To a person who has relies on external distortion, overdrive and a wide range of other effects pedals, this is a 9/10 practice amp.

This amp has quite a few features and they're pretty useful to be honest. It's got the usual EQ, then it's got a crunch channel which has it's own EQ. Then it has a MAX switch for even more distortion. The reverb's handy, but mine doesn't work when the footswitch if plugged in for the crunch, I'm not sure if this is supposed to happen or not. Then it's got a lead boost channel for extra volume. So basically this amp's got everything. It's just a shame the crunch sounds so bad.

Sound Quality : 8
I'm using this with a tele and a lot of Pedals. It sounds LOUD. It's the first big amp I bought after my practise one and it does exactly what I bought it for. Turn it up and make noise. The crunch sound vile though. Too processed and cheap. It sounds like a Boss MT-2 on it's british rock setting. EEuuurgh. The only thing it's good for is overloading your sound completely to get this messy crunchy noise which I do from time to time. So as a special effect it's great, but as an actual crunch? No way. Other than that the sound's good, clean warm and natural.

Never failed me yet. The knobs all work, it's solid, huge and strong. The only problem I have is that Reverb cut off.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Don't know.

I've been playing ten years probably, this is the best amp I've got. It won't get stolen unless it's by a VERY strong thief, and it's too big for me to lose. I compared it to a Marshall valve thing and everybody was advising me to get it, but nope. Not interested thanks, the LANEY for me. I wish it had a footswitch for the Reverb effect and that's it. Sounds good, no fancy touches to the noise, no "valve warmth" or any other gimmic. It just makes your guitar louder, excellent.
