Pretty simple. Mic channel w/xlr in and volume only. Guitar channel w/active and passive input. Usual eq knobs, chorus and reverb. 30 watts with an 8" speaker and line out.

Sound Quality : 7
Sound is not great but OK. I also have a Fender Acoustasonic JR and that sounds heavenly next to the Laney. I use this amp for a small restaurant gig that requires me to have very low volume. The Fender was simply too loud for this gig. For this application, this amp works perfectly. I run the line out into a direct box, then into the house system (a really poor one). I use the amp as a monitor and also as a control for my volume. Chorus is good and so is reverb. The 8" speaker sounds a little squakey (is that a word?) but it gets the sound up to me so that's all I care.

Bought it used and works now.

Good value here if it holds up. Had a Laney tube amp years ago and it held up OK.

2 Channel acoustic 30W combo. Has a push button chorus that sounds very rich, a parametric mid and a very nice spring reverb. The main problem with this amp is that the mic channel is completely clean. Therefore you need an FX unit to punch up your vocals. An old Korg AX 30 works nicely for me. For the price it is a nice little amp.

Using a Takamine EAN 12 string this amp sounds great. I play folk, country and acoustic rock, and this amp has plenty of versatility on the instrument channel to produce a variety of clean acoustic sounds. At max volume there is a little buzz, but it works fine at levels near to max. I have also used this amp successfully with a variety of acoustic and electric guitars. My sons BC Rich warlock sounds sweet as a daisy through one of these :-)

Well built as all Laney amps are. Never had a problem with it.

I've been playing for 25 years. I bought this amp for practice and for small coffee shop type gigs. For the price it is an excellent little amp, Portable and lightweight. I believe they cost around 165 pounds new, and this is a good price for a basic acoustic amplifier. Apart from the lack of tone and effects on channel 1 I love it. Would buy another (and am considering doing so for my wifes Bodhran and voice).

The LA30 is a 30 watt two channel dedicated acoustic amplifier with chorus housing a 1 x 8" + HF unit. Channel 1 features an XLR input, Tape/CD input & volume. Channel 2 features an active & passive input, volume, chorus on/off, bass, Parametric mid, treble insert and line out. Lots of features for a small amp in this pricerange.

Sound Quality : 8
Using with an Alvarez AJ60SC Jumbo acoustic electric. Playing light rock (Eagles, James Taylor etc..) as well as praise/worship. This amp has a rich sounding chorus and the reverb has a nice sound as well. The power is a little lacking, but this is a small amp and sounds good for it's size as long as you don't turn it up too loud.

Reliability : 10
So far so good. No problems at all, even using it illegally as a bass practice amp on the side!

Never dealt with them. Seems to be a reputable outfit based on their webpage however.

Been playing for 20+ years. I think this is a great little amp. Too small for anything more than a gig at a coffee house or such. Definitely not suited for gymnasium sized performance halls. Does the job nicely at small weddings etc... Nice built in chorus eliminated the need for an external chorus pedal, which was a plus. Overall, a good little amp if the price is right, which it was in my case.
