2 channels: channel 1 = instrument, channel 2 = auxillary (low z mic & 1/4" inputs). Each channel has separate level and tone controls, separate reverb on/off/level controls, and separate chorus on/off/depth/rate controls. Built in anti-feedback cirquitry, CD in RCA jacks, headphones, loop, line out, etc... Twin 8" speakers. Detachable power cord (pc type) convenient for travelling.

This amplifier is well suited for solo singer/songwriter acts as well as complete band ensembles.

Sound Quality : 9
Beautiful, clean tone. Looked long and hard for acoustic amps, and this is one of the VERY FEW that offered any type of tonal reproduction - most of the others seriously sounded like crap. Even considering the price, I would go as far as to compare the sound quality to the more expensive (and smaller)AER and BOSS amps. I play it with a Yamaha FPX 300 (see the review for that somewhere here) and a Shure SM-58 mic.

Reliability : 8
It's a good strongly constructed box. I hate to bump it around too much - I've never heard reverb coils react so loudly on other amps. I would also like to see a stronger handle instead of the leather one it has. Keeping in mind that I haven't tested it to it's limits to any great extent(I care for my gear), I have complete faith in this amps performance, and wouldn't hesitate to rely on it without a backup.

Haven't had to deal with them yet. Hopefully I won't. Good dealer support.

I've been playing for a couple of decades now, and I'm finally happy with this acoustic amp. I like the sound versatility. I like the classy look of it. I like the brass accents. I like that I got a honkin' good deal with my Crate trade-in.

Eq works very well, and feed back too, revieb can not be heard at loud volume and chorus could be louder too, but at played at 5-6 sounds great! very warm sounding. Loop seems crap to me. It input to much and can overdrive a little, the Marshall AS50 does a better job and it has fader for the channel too

Sound Quality : 9
VERY GOOD, VERY CLEAN, totaly quiet and its louder than the marshall. maybe not quiet as warmth that the marshall has but its hard to say. they sound all most the same to me, I haev sung and played through this amp with a band and it cuts it!

Reliability : 6
Seems fine, i would say that you could drop this and it would work

The LA65C is the newest member of the acoustic amp family from Laney.
It features 2 channels, 1 for acoustic guitar & another with both an XLR & 1/4" input for something like a microphone. Both channels have EQ & switchable reverb and chorus. Both effects obviously come in very handy. Headphone out is standard as is speaker out.

The LA65C consists of 2 x 8" drivers + horn for high frequencies.
Overall, excellent features for an acoustic amp.

Sound Quality : 10
Well, how do you want an acoustic amp to sound like?? Just like a very loud acoustic guitar with excellent sound quality right? I play an Australian made Maton EM225C (excellent guitar!) through this amp & it sounds even better than I expected it would. I play rock, soft-cock rock and laid back types of music but it is just the kind of gear you would want to play any type of music.

Although it depends on your guitar, this amp gives out resonant lows & lovely highs, & the EQ can give you any sound you would want from an acoustic amp. The reverb is useable, though nothing too special, though the chorus is quite good (although I way prefer Danelectro's Cool Cat chorus pedal). It is loud enough for gigs & has not distorted ever since I pulled it out of the box. The amp makes no background noise whatsoever & because of this I give the sound score a 10.

This amp is made for moving around, which of course is a good thing. The only thing that I don't like too much about it is the wicker-like covering of the speakers. One false move with even a blunt implement could pierce it very easily. On the other hand though, the thatching does give it quite a unique look & looks like what an acoustice amp should look like.

I have had no problems whatsoever since I bought it and recommend it to anyone who loves acoustic guitar and wants a matching amp without burning too much of a hole in their pocket.

I haven't dealt with them directly, but Laney's website lets you download the instructions. This helped me in my purchase as I knew exactly what did what. Also, Laney's website has reviews for all of their products which are very informative without being too biased.

Overall Rating : 10
I got this baby for $400, quite a bargain considering the retail price is $699. It helps knowing owners of music shops! Playing guitar for 5 years now, this amp is all I'll ever need to amuse myself over and over. I recommend this amp to anyone looking for an acoustic amp. For the price, nothing compares to it & even some more expensive one's I have tried out(Marshall, Peavey) it totally beats them.
