1965 R400C, one EL84, 2 12AX7's, 1 tube Rect. 3 inputs, 1 footswitch jack. Volume, Tone, Speed, Intensity. 1 8" Jensen. My tremolo has never worked, but I don't care. Black cover over some kind of light wood/particle board. It didn't have the original grill clothe and I know the speaker is not original either.

I have had this amp for 6 years, and have played through many speakers, and I love it. A very warm tone made for Strats. I push it hard with my Rat pedal and it's a Mini Marshall. Recently, I have been playing bass guitar through it and it even sounds better. And amzingly loud too. I rewired the footswitch jack to be a speaker out jack. This works well for switching cabs.

I have had no problems, but my tubes are alittle loose. I wish it had springs to hold them.

I will always keep this amp, if it breaks then I will get it fixed. It's a part of me just like my 1967 Gibson SG Special and my 1978 JCM800 White combo.

Playe with fender stuff.. both high end custom shop & a squire affinity series. I'm a standard rock guy, and play my own style wich runs from jazz to Heavy. you 'aint going to get this thing to sound like a marshall but who cares. I own a marshall for that reason. THis little thing flat out ROCKS. and low wattage lets you turn it all the way up & let it scream. Cleans up real nice with volume knob work, distortion is very warm, fill-boddied & fuzzy like an old rolling stones track. Look. I have played through EVERYTHING, and this thing is the best investment I ever made.

It's old, and looks like it, but has held up well for it's near 40 year age. I gig with this thing now 5 times a week. Protect it with your like, but let it work. What an Amp !!!! Whatch the tubes though, and get spares as soon as you can, they don't make 'em like the origionals anymore, and old tubes can blow without warning.

No One will ever steal, touch or think about doing either.. I'd kill the bastard with my teeth. Thius is the best amp I have ever heard. Think of a combination early 70's fender deluxe crosed with an old Vox AC-15. I have been hiding it behind the marshall stack on-stage and letting it work a good Mic. Everyone wonders how I get the AMAIZING tone out of a marshall... I'll never tell. Got this on e-bay for $70.00 plus shipping. Would have paid $1000.00 had I heard it first. Poor chump that sold it. They had not a clue in the world.

Having 3 input gains really makes it nice to get 3 different tone out of this old sweetheart by driving the preamp tubes soft, medium, and harder. I assume this amp is 1950's made. It's creme tweed in color' and the control panal is dark champgne color with a hint of tiny matal flake. I bought it because I collect such less sopught after amps. Anyone who has ever heard this little amp has tried to deal me out of it. The tremolo has never worked but the amp appears to be in almost new condition otherwise. I use it in the recording studio a lot. It has a very warm clean tone at lower volumes, And when I light it up it has great old tube distortion. I plugged it into a 4x10 Marshall cabinet for an album project and I literally drew a crowd in the studio because it sounded so awesome. Pure EL-84 tone!! the longer I leave it on, The darker the tone gets.

I baby it and don't let it travel around much. It lights every time I turn it on and works well for anything I want to use it for.
Just wish I knew more about it.

Thgere isn't a chance in heck that the manufacturer is still around. I never even heard of this brand til I tripped over this one in the pawn shop. I'd love to have several; more of these especially for the price I paid. This amp new no days would cost you $1500.00.
All hand wired, tube rectifier, Tube tremolo, ETC.

Once again if there's anyone who knows more about this amp or it's manufacturer, I'd love to learn more.
