you probably already know.

I can play anything with this. You can have really bone crushing metal tones with this, or sparkly clean tones. The effects are alright, they shure arn't bad just not very flexible, but you can make use. You set all your own channels, anyone can find something they like about this amp. The thing about people saying it doesn't soud like a tube amp, well its not a tube amp. But it still sounds good, and for the price you can find them, and the flexibility, you cant go wrong. It is a good investment, because you get a load of tones to play with.

Reliability : 10
Bought it used. I think its like a 98 or something. Never had a problem with it.

I called to get information on it, and had no problems.

Ive been playing 5 years, I know my way around guitars, amps, and effects, and this amp has never upset me. Check them out you wont regret it.

it has alot of good features. possibly too many. more than i will ever use unless i decide to start taking acid again.

Sound Quality : 6
it has pretty good distortion. i use all models of gibson lp guitars and a epiphone from time to time. the main problem i have is switching from distortion to clean. it seems to me that if you spen alot of time making your distortion relly mean sounding you make the clean sound dirty and twangy. i could just be retarded but i have a huge problem with this. and at loud volume it seems to like to crap out or change channels for no reason at all" very bad for shows" did this at three shows so i had it checked out by a pro who is certified to work on line 6. he said that he couldnt find anything wrong with it. i also had a line 6 spider 212 that did the exact same thing and when i had it checked out he said that there was no problem with it that he could find. so i just use this amp when i am at home with low volume and it works great for that. but i dont trust it at shows.

Reliability : 5
i dont trust it enough to play shows. read sounds........

Customer Support : No Opinion
they told me to call some guy. so i did... he said nothing was wrong..... maybe im retarded??????????? 2 line 6 amps vs 15 years experience who knows??

Overall Rating : 6
i cant say anything too too bad about this amp because im still using it on a daily basis. it works fine for messing around at home. i have been playing for 15 years and i have worked with marshall, crate, kustom, fender, mesa, and hartke amps. and i think if your going to spend alot of money on an amp buy a marshall or a mesa. i like line 6 and i would still buy their products. im thinking maybe its just an old model and they havent worked out all the bugs yet.

The features on this amp are very good. Before I decided to venture into the digital realm I was playing some solid state 1X12 combo. Needless to say the plethora of sounds and amp models available are very convenient. I still run some floor pedals though because it is kind of limiting to only be able to really use 2 modulations at a time but thats not a big deal.

Sound Quality : 8
The sounds are surprisingly good. Of course I knew that before purchasing it because I did what every other smart consumer should do when given the opportunity and that is test the product out. I use an ESP eclipse with alnico humbuckers. My style is very eclectic, although initially I was using it for strict metal tones. I do anything from space rock to metal now a days. I cant complain about the tones, they get the job done.

Well sadly for me, this is where the bashing begins. About three or four months after buying the head, the circuit board blew out on me. Take into account that I am very careful with my equipment so I know I didnt do anything out of the ordinary. In all fairness I understand that when dealing with electronics there are inherited problems beyond your control but come on. Since I had it repaired (which is another story alltogether) I really had not used it that often but nothing has happened since then.

Customer Support : 2
Okay the true bashing begins here. Now before I begin I just want to point out in fairness and possible defense of the company that I heard around the time I had to deal with them, they were going through some management issues or something. Okay thats enough on to the bashing. THEY SUCKED! At least at the time I dealt with them. No joke people, it took me about seven months!!! to get this damned thing repaired. They never called back. Everytime I called them it was followed with an empty promise to conatact me again. Nope. Never happened. I have not dealt with them since that moment but as far as that experience goes, no good.

Overall Rating : 7
Okay the overall rating isnt so bad. After all, the product does what its supposed to and it sounds great. It really is very versatile and convenient. Although I did have problems with the customer service it was one of the best investments I have made. Shit happens and I understand that, but so is life.

This head features many great amp models as well as effects. It is very versatile for my softer rock styles as well as my edgy metal styles. This head has more power than you would ever need. I can't even get the cooling fans to turn on because it's just too much power.

Sound Quality : 8
Right now im playing a gibson faded sg as well as a takamine 12 string acoustic and the head suits both tastes. The only effects pedal i use is a hendrix wah only for the higher pitches. you'll never need any extra effects. The distortion levels are insane and everything else sounds incredible. Totally worth the money.

Reliability : 8
Ive only had if for a few months so im not sure about long term use but so far i havent had any problems other than some feedback due to a guitar center ripoff on a crappy cord. Go Musicians Friend. Samash is goin down.

Never dealt with the Line6 Company.

Overall Rating : 9
I have been playing for 8 years off and on. This is the only setup i have at the time. This head is powering a Marshall 1960 cab and sounds good. Marshalls are overrated and have nothing that even compares to Line6. If you are goin for a solid state, Line6 is the way to go.

This thing is almost like a "built-in" multi FX into an amp. Wonderfull! I played alot with it and never used all the patches!

The amp "simulation" is the main reason I bought this thing. Really interesting!

The floorboard was really usefull with a Volume AND a wah at the same time!

Sound Quality : 1
...sadly...

you CANT just imitate any old tube amp via electronics...it does not deliver the same kind of "power" (clean, drive, dist...)

The sound is not THAT bad...but if you compare it to the real things...it sucks!

I ran this head in multiple cabinets (peavey, marshall, line 6, ...)and at different volumes but it does sound like a tube amp at all!

I think the combo models sound better.

Reliability : 3
The on/off switch broke up after a year. (I'm REALLY carefull with my equipement)

Sometimes, the volume went up all by itself! (Innovation, you know!)

When I first bought it, I had to take it back to the store one day after because no sound was coming out at all (after half an hour of use)

I've been playing for a couple of years now and I tried many different "types" of amps. Nothing sounds like tubes...sorry!

PLAYINGWITH A 76 DEAN V W/ DIMARZIO TONE ZONE, FAT THICK GUITAR TONE. FOR THE AMP, AT FIRST I WAS LOST, IT HAS WAY TOO MANY EMULATIONS, I WAS DEVELOPING A.D.D.. AFTER DECIDING TO STICK WITH WHAT IM FAMILIAR WITH I NAILED MY TONES VERY EASILY. THE SOLDANO SOUNDS BETTER THAN MY PEICE OF SHIT SOLDANO! I ALSO QUITE HAPPILY NAILED A SUPER LEAD AND THE CLASSIC JMP TONES QUITE WELL BUT IT TAKES PUSHING SOME WATTAGE, NO APARTMENTS. IM PUSHING A 4X12 MARSHALL W/ VIN.30'S. I LIKE THE FACT IT STAYS TIGHT LOUD, FIND YOUR TONE AND ITS THERE ALL THE TIME. NO MUSHED OUT RUSSIAN, CHINESE CRAP TUBES. GREAT PICK RESPONSE AND FEEL, SURPRISING POWER AMP. I HAD A MESA STRADEGY 400 AND 500, I KNOW WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT. PURCHASED AS A PRACTICE AMP, WITH NO HESITATION IM GOING TO GIG IT.

A SOLID YEAR WITH NO POWER TUBE CHANGE, YOU GOTTA LOVE THAT!!!

PUNK/METAL BANDS SINCE 84, ITS NOT THE REAL THING IF YOUR TRYING TO NAIL A PARTICULAR AMP. IT WOULD BE A GENERIC VERSION OF THAT AMP. BUT WHAT IT DOES BOAST IS ITS UNIQUE FLAVOR EMULATING THESE AMPS. ITS LIKE HOT CYBER SEX!!! IT GETS YOU OFF!!! THIS IS DEFINITLY ITS OWN HYBRED WHICH WILL BECOME A CLASSIC. I WISH I HAD THIS GOOD OF SOUND $5000 AGO, I FIRST HEARD THIS WITH A PUNKY 10 YEAR OLD BEHIND IT PLAYING SLOPPY SABBATH BUT IT WAS SO FAT I HAD TO GET ONE, BYE ,BYE TUBES FOR GOOD!

Excellent selection of amplifiers and effects, though the effects couldn't really be "tweaked" as much as I like. XLR outs blend nicely with a live sound, but I don't think I would use them exclusively.

Sound Quality : 8
I've used almost every guitar imaginable through this amp, and I have to say that it isn't too bad. The clean tones are not as clean as I would like, but that's what Fenders are for. I didn't like the lag, or delay time when you switch some of the presets, and switching between banks with the floorboard is a pain, because you can't skip around as nicely as on some multi-effect pedals. Distortion tones are heavy, but I feel that they can get lost, or buried. They aren't as "in your face" as some of the amps they emulate.

Reliability : 9
I have never had a problem with the amp itself, and I've had it for over a year. I've gigged regularly with it, and it's been used in almost every situation possible. The only thing that ever happened was the volume pedal on the floorboard stopped working. This amp can take abuse. My girlfriend dropped it face down on the ground, and it didn't even scuff the surface. She doesn't carry any more of my gear, though. I can understand her dropping it, though. It's a heavy tank.

Customer Support : No Opinion
never dealt with them

Overall Rating : 8
I've played for 8 years and am a collector of all things strange. I use a pile of pedals with this amp straight in and it still sounds good. Downtuned instruments are handled well with this amp. I think that the next amp I buy will be the Vetta, but of course, I have to try it first. I reccomend using a 4 ohm cab to get the most out of this amp. I use 8, and wish I had 4. Oh well, one more thing to fix....my Marshall Cabinets. Good buy, despite the price, though. They're cheap now that they have the Flextone II and Vetta out now.

- Line 6 clean: sonido limpio bastante bueno.

http://www.audiomusica.com
aqui vale como $600.000.- pesos chilenos nuevo (U$870.00)

Overall Rating : 9

Chao

Alfonso.

Need I say how many features this thing has on it? It's chock full of ripined digital goodness. Well, this head definately gets the right effect and style im looking for when experimenting with different styles. it has 4 channels, and I think that is enough. get the floarboard if you need more. The head has pretty much every effect I could use. I wish they had an octave effect, but i could live w/o that. i use this amp at gigs wich are usually outside, and this sucker cuts through. Its got a 300 watt rms handling and i barely have to push it halfway. Also, the reverb is very amazing on this lil feller :-)

Sound Quality : 10
I am currently running a Yamaha Pacifica through this head and this guitar can rock just as good as any other, and Im not planning on giving it up anytime soon. This head can suite anybodies musical style. Unlike other reviews, I fine I can get a VERY clear UNdistorted Clean sound out of it, and an awesome crunch and distortion sound. I play a very wide range of music from classical to funk to metal and so on. My band is very experimental and we use the occasional bongos and brass/woodwinds to see whats type of music and moods we can produce. so This head really creates wonders for our styles. Yes the head is noisy... But totally not in a bad way. The clean at loud volumes is very crisp.. people are jsut too impatient to move a knob around here or there to get the right sound. The distortion is awesome... again, move some knobs around on it. dont be a lazy SOB.

Reliability : 9
I am highly dependable on this amp. I definately would not plug it in w/o using a surge protector though thats for sure. Its like a little computer. I am pretty confident in it, and would definately use it w/o a backup. I dont neglect my amp. I do not abuse it.. It cost too much money for me to be abusing it. Hopefully this head will last me a while.

Customer Support : 5
I have never dealt with the company as of yet. so i cant give an honest answer. but because of other comments on them, im takin away 5 stars

Overall Rating : 9
I have only been playing for 7 years now. You're probably saying "How much can this kid know about amps and tone?" Well, I have played many amps including crates, mesa/boogie rec.'s, marshalls, and i fine that the line 6 head can get the sounds of these amps just as well as they can get them. If it was stolen.. I would TRY to get another one, but it might eat a whole in my pockets... in fact i might not even have pants left for it to eat holes through. I would definatley have to do heavy research to find another great amp like this one.
One thing I hate is the weight..42 lbs... Not bad, but Jesus Christ, this thing is heavier then rosanne and toms sex sweat in a bucket (thats a lot of sweat people). The cab which goes with it is pretty heavy also. id say about 80-something lbs.
This cab is awesome and would recoment it to anyone who desires a wide variety of sound and has a bit of patience to work with with it. feel free to email me with any questions you might have concerning this head
