Guys, i know many love them and many hate it, but this is an honest review.
This is versatile, it has a lot of amp models in hcthere (too many for me)... well , you already know the features

I use a strat, i play funk, rock, and 80s pop
Its not noisy, even im using a 110v version in a 220v country (chile) through a volatge transformer...
I play in bars and pubs and i dont use an amp on stage. Only the pod to the PA and thats it. I use it in the studio position of the switch, despite the manual... i really think it sounds the best here... The live position is too trebly for me...
Ittl never be a tube amp. But this is as close you can get with a reliable digital machine. I really prefer to take this to the gigs instead of the head amp and the 2x12 cab. There is litlle compromise on sound. Any way guys, this machine NEEDS A LOT OF TIME OF TWEAKING AND ADJUSTMENTS TO THE PRESETS, so to me DEFINITELY ISNT a plug and play!
I can tell you it took me almost two years and many beers and my friend advice to take out a really cool sound that could make me happy.
I finally master it but it took me reading the manual a 1000 times and i ended doing everything by ear and not manualwise.
The most important advice:
1. WHEN PLAYING LIVE EQ'IT AT STAGE LEVELS OTHERWISE ITLL SOUND LIKE A NASTY CAT CRAP!!!!
2. AT HOME OR IN THE STUDIO EVEN THE MOST EXTREMES EQ'S WILL WORK BUT YOU WILL SURELY REALIZE THAT THOSE EQs WONT DO IT LIVE SO YOULL NEED PRESETS FOR LIVE AND HOME
Most probably a dull sounding channel when at home will sound awesome live with minor teaking.
The efx it has are nice, not the best but work preety good. I have a G major and a G Force lso, but i stop using them because the pod's efx get the job done.

They are nice guys. They gave me for free the 1.3 eeprom chip and sent it to a relative in the US who then sent it to me (chile)

Ive been playing for 15 years. Have listened and owned to many equipment an i think that pods are an awesome tool for guitarists, but i like even more because whta it has sounds good. Other pres or multiefx lack sound. Not the POD BUT I REPEAT ITS NOT AN OLD MARSHALL, VOX OR FENDER OR MESA OR SOLDANO, but it gets close. If thats not enough for you, askyourself if you tweaked good adn ask again why The Edge of U2 uses it, damn he sounds superb to me!!!! and he used 4 of this pod pro's
