This little 30-watt 1x12" combo has all the tonal characteristics of 4 great amps in one! It has 4 channels, which can be adjusted with tone and effects to mold the amp into what you need it to do. Using the FBV Express (not included), you get foot control of all 4 presets, wah/valume pedal, tuner and tap tempo control at your feed!

Sound Quality : 8
This is an open-back combo amp with a lot of low-end. Its ability to configure each preset makes it very versitile. The Crunch preset seems a little muddy for a non-blues style, but the other 3 presets are VERY usable for a majority of styles.

I was very surprised at the volume this amp can handle, and still reproduce a nice sound! 30 watts seems like so little, and for the money, I honestly did not expect the sound I got when I plugged into the Spider III 30.

Reliability : 7
This is VERY light-weight, and portable. It looks like the electronics could be a little loose, so I wouldn't toss this amp around, or stack anything on top of it. It's great for what it is, and exceeds any other combo amp in its price range!

Customer Support : 7
I've been a Line 6 product user for many years. Only until recently have I been disheartened by their support, but specifically on a different (newer) product line. However, their web site is very useful and their forums are very helpful.

This amp is great for practicing, or using as a stage monitor (and thus micing it for live sound). The direct/line out is also usable for recording/live use, but then you loose the internal speaker output, which is probably the reason you bought this amp in the first place. :)

Seriously, if you're on a shoe-string budget, need some sort of reliable backup equipment, or just starting out, this amp will do everything you need it to do. If you're a pro and looking for a cheap practice amp, you may want to use this amp and run your normal rig directly into its clean channel. Either way, it sounds great and well worth the money.
