Features are about all you can expect from a modeling amp. 7 built in effects, up to 3 at once. Chorus, Flange, Phase, few different ty pes of delay and echo, reverb.
I do believe Line 6 did a good job taking the effort to make this amp versatile as possible. But I just get the impression that this amp is made for hard rock and metal. Solid state will always be solid state, and metal and solid state go together very well.

The amp can do anything you want it to. You can find a sound for ANY genre, but like I said, I just don't see a serious jazz musician, etc. buying this. What it emulates best is that chunky mesa sound.
I either play it with my Epi Les Paul (Stock PUPs) or my Fender Mexi Strat (SD HotRails in the Bridge). With that combination I can achieve the sound(s) I'm going for. I write a lot of my own music and its mainly influenced by Megadeth, Down, Slayer, and the like.
Its not noisy, has a built in noise gate.

I've only had it a few days, so I can't really give much advice here.

I've been playing for ten years now. I own an Epi Les Paul, Fender Mexican Strat, Washburn Acoustic, Roland Cube30 for practice, DigiTech RP80 (Which definetly won't see much use now that I have the spider head with all the built in effects, maybe just for the whammy when I'm in the mood;)
Well, if it was stolen I'd probably buy another one, but not after debating whether or not to just save up for a Mesa Triple Rec. Its one hell of a value at $299 bucks.
