Well, the amp has been explained already which I won't repeat. Adding: it's got this terrible(or fantastic?) mint green colour which was considdered 'good looking' back in the seventies.... whatever. The basic controls it has are enough for me to play with. They don't have a big range but this is all good. The only thing I miss is a master volume, which would make it possible to get high gain with low volume, but what I did now was: removing two EL34 tubes out which resulted in a 50 instead of 100 watt amp. This way the dist/compression sets in sooner. And beautiful!!!

Sound Quality : 9
When I first playes a London City dea 130, I was blown away! It's asif the amp is too small for the sound it creates (even if it's huge). It's just perfect for my style (rock).
What I also do, is linking the two channels (and putting my wah inbetween). This way you can better find your perfect sound.

Reliability : 8
Like a rock. It needed some basic revisions at the start (one tube was missing, some things were broken) but still it never let me down.

Customer Support : No Opinion
They recently started again. Some asian company bought the name London City and they produce amps (and guitars). Yet, I hear no good things of this....

Overall Rating : 9
It's perfect. Not only for the sound, but also for the "whatte #$^$^%$&^is that?!" Few people know this relic which makes everything better.

I don't know how old the amp is. I traded the amp for some repair work. when i got it it looked bad, but i only had to replace the power suply capacitors to get it working, it wasn't used for a long time.

I like the sound of the amp. I use very cheap soundlab speaker they sound great with this amp, better then celestion's.

Sound Quality : 8
I play a lot of rage against the machine, ozzy osbourn and other music like that, but also blues and what ever else.
it suits my music very good.

Reliability : 10
it never let me down yet, in 4 years, still with the same tubes.

maintenace is very simple on this amp, even without schematics.

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 9
if i had to buy a other amp i would buy the same again!!!!!

Fabricated in the earley 70's. One normal and one high freq boost channel, basic EQ, no switch. 2x 8ohm, 2 x 16 ohm speaker outputs. No fancy stuff and no features you never use. If you are prepared to use some effects (like overdrive, tremolo, delay, maybe Switchable eq....)you can cover allmost every style of music. It's a very versatile amp keeping in mind it's simplicity an basicness.

Sound Quality : 8
I'm using an old fender strat with build-in EMG pickups to play a loud kind of stonerock/hardrock hybrid on it. But when whe're messing around with blues and jazz it also kicks ass. clean basic sound with a lot of presence( a bit too much maybe). There's very little disturbing noises or fuzz.
the only distortion it produces by itself, is the one that comes by turning the volume knob on 10(there's no preamp knob). Its a kind of (much to) loud(in db's) Jimmy Hendrix sound and in my opinion not suited for every style of hard music But still with the right preamp it a real case of dynamite.

Reliability : 9
In contrary to an other submission I read on this page, I never had any problems with it. Maybe because I use the original speaker cabinet and I rarely use the full volumecapacity of my amp( its allready eardamaging loud on 6 or 7).

Customer Support : No Opinion
this one is no longer produced so my advice is to buy a nice weller soldering kit and A tube-amp electronics manual.
You can find specs and plans on the internet and thanks to the simplicity of this amp almost every electronics-shop should be abel to repair it with minimum cost.

Overall Rating : 9
I've been playing several years and this amp is by far the best( and oldest) I ever had. In comparison with the JCM 800-900, the fender twin and baseman and other stuff I used over the years I must say this one sounds much better ( probably a question of taste)

Dutch product of the early 1970's. Marshall-like top with 4xEL34, 2x ECC 83, ECC81.About 100 watts output. One normal and one high freq boost channel, no switch. 2x 8ohm, 2 x 16 ohm speaker outputs.
Huge and heavy (25 kgs) to carry around.

Sound Quality : 9
This amp is clear, yet easy to overdrive and LOUD! I used it with a NoName korean stereo amp (only IC's) as preamp to drive the tubes to distortion, using both channels. As speaker I used an old Fender Vibratone Leslie unit with a Fane speaker in it. Result: guitarists in the audience came up after the gigs asking how I got this loud, clear and omnipresent sound. Really gorgeous, deep and rich sound with dripping crunchy edges. You'll never want to use your IC-driven distortion footpedal again with this amp
Do not use this setup if you're playing with another guitarist in the band or you'll be in trouble.
I also used it as a bass guitar amp, but that's no good.

Reliability : 3
Bring your soldering gear whereever you go.
Had to repair it twice on stage, 10 minutes before the gig would start. Replaced the old power supply capacitors with new ones.Readjusted tube voltages (450 v)

Customer Support : No Opinion
No longer existent. You'll have to know about tube amp electronics, otherwise never but one.

Overall Rating : 6
Despite it frequent breakdowns, I love this beast as a 1970's relic and for its great sound.
