i play metal/hard rock i have an esp ltd eclipse with emg 60/81 and let me tell you this cab sounds AMAZING! i'm playing it through a laney GH100L at the moment and it just screams! I don't know what these dumbasses (that gave the sound rating 4),are talking about, they bitch about a 2x12 and say that the 4x12 is better, well OBVIOUSLY it's a fucking 4x12! 2x12 and 4x12 can NOT be compared since the 4x12 is DOUBLE the goddamn 2x12.

I've been playing for 3 years, owned 6 guitars and 2 cabs i've sold the other one (peavey) and kept this one. It's a good cab and it does what it's supposed to, i've loaded it with vintage 30s and now it sounds even better. If you're going to rate a cab, compare it to something comparable to make it fair u dumbasses.

My setup consists of:
Ibanez RG7420 loaded with DiMarzio Blaze Bridge @ bridge and DiMarzio Air Norton 7 @ neck
Mesa/Boogie TriAxis
TC Eletronics G-Major
Mesa/Boogie 20-20
I use to play in a cover band so the styles I play vary from "The Commitments" to "Dream Theater" and everything in between.
I used to think this cab sounded pretty good unless I plugged into a 8412 (4x12) Marshall cab. Then I noticed how bad the 1922 is.
The sound is muddy and kinda spongy with tons of bass and piercing highs with unfocused mids, really crappy for distorted sounds. It is almost impossible dialing in a *distorted* sound that can cut thru the mix, and also sound techs when I played live gave me a hard time because they had to roll off the basses from the mixer making the whole sound thin and piercing, so they had to cut off the highs, and then my guitar began almost unhearable from the PA.
I think this cab may be good for jazz players searching for a warm clean tone, or for some blues players who just crank their tube amp to get saturated, but for hi gain rock sounds it plain sucks.

A box of (hopefully) wood, a bunch of wires and two loudspeakers. Unless you drop it or drive it with too much power I think it is almost undestructable.

Dunno, never dealt with them.

It is a small, lightweight cab, sturdy, easy to carry around and with a good overall volume. For what the features vs price are I would suggest to try one and, if you like it, buy it.
As per me it sucked, so I traded it for a Marshall 8412 cab.

Mid 90's 2X12 closed back cabinet, Celestion G12T-75 speakers, runs 8 ohms mono or 16 ohms stereo, big handles on the sides, closed back, designed as an extension cabinet to fit perfectly under a JCM900 2X12 combo

I use this cabinet when I need more volume than my JCM900 100 watt 2X12 combo can give by itself. It blends nicely with the open back of the combo(also G12T-75's). I'm using a Gibson SG Junior with a single P-90 pickup and play power pop and hard rock. This rig is great for that sound. The combo has been switched to JJ Tesla EL34 power tubes(had Sovtek 5881's) and now has a creamier tone.

I've been playing over 20 years. This isn't my only piece of equipment, but was mainly chosen to match up with the combo listed above. They don't make this one anymore, but they turn up on HC fairly often.

Here are the features I liked. Stero & mono inputs and a closed back, which I like better than the open back. Heavey duty side handles for easy carying. Very light (like 35 lbs). Small enough to gig with as not to take up too much stage space. I plan to put caster on it, not because it's too heavy, but just to make it a little easier and to get sound off the floor more.

I am using a Peavey EVH Wolfgang, Gibson Les Paul hoooked up to a Peavey 5150II head set up in the 60watt configuration. I am thinking of swapping out the speakers to the 30 watt celestions. I think the 75 watts are a little bassy.

I neverd had any problems with this cab. Prior to this I had a Marsahll 1960A 4X12 cab and I choose the 1922 because of it's portability and smaller size.

I have been playing through Marshall 4X12 cab's for years. I always loved the Marshall cab sound. I just got tired of lugging a 4X12 in and out of bars and the stages I play are usually very small with small stages. The 4X12 cab took up too much room. I think the 1922 is a great choice if you want to keep a seprate head and looking for a more portable set up like a combo amp. Marshall is built like a tank. The construction is fantastic. Again, if you have less than a 100watt head, you may want to go to the 25 or 30 watt speakers. They break up easier than the 75 watter's. I guess it's all a personal preferance thing. Anyway, if you like the Marshall cab sound, you won't be disapointed

VERY LIGHT!!!!! I mean,weight-wise.Those of you familiar with other products from Marshall know they usually weigh a ton(which is a good thing;durable and solid)This cabinet is easily carried with two arms by one person, and is easy to carry with one arm over short distances. The one I had I bought in 1994-95.I never opened it to see what kind of speakers were in there, presumably some variety of Celestions.

Excellent closed-back guitar speaker cabinet type sound with way less labor than lugging a 4x12 cab around.Personally,I used this cab in a C&W band and a Rock/Metal band and it worked fine for both;excellent in fact!I think guitarists go for a closed-back sound or an open-back sound(or both). This thing does the closed-back thing very well

Unknown in this case, although I had a Marshall endorsement for a while(had this cab prior to that)and the rep,Nick Bowcott, was a really cool guy.I guess the rest of the company is too

I used this cab with a Gibson Les Paul Classic,Marshall JMP-1 pre-amp,Alesis Quadraverb and a Marshall Valvestate 8008 power amp with excellent results. This rig was solid-state by choice(as an experiment)and not because it was cheaper than the tube gear.Another topic altogether really, but ALL the Marshall solid-state stuff I've tried sounds great! It's not so much that tubes SOUND better it's that they FEEL better to me.Tubes give and sag.Transistors do not.I had to pawn this cab unfortunately, but I'd love to get another.Does Marshall still make these?!?

2x12 cabinet as detailed below. But not stated below, it is has two speaker jacks, giving 75 watts per speaker in stereo or 150w when using one jack only. Features don't really apply here - it's just a rugged speaker cab with two solid Celestion speakers. It's not particularly heavy.

I've found this cab difficult with a JMP-1 and 8008 setup. In this situation, the 1922 has a dark, veiled, even muffled sound, yet the highs tend to be piercingly bright - the worst of both worlds really. It's OK for block-chord distortions from the JMP-1, but it lacks dynamics and subtlety. Here's a curiosity: I wired one channel of the JMP-1/8008 through the 1922, the other through the stock Goldback speaker of my Marshall Valvestate VS65R, an amp that's always sounded great. The sound was much livelier! Is it speakers, wood or the fact the VS65R is an open-back cab?

Great for every sound!!!.. Mine came with heavy duty side handles, as well as casters.. which was nice for a 2*12 cabinet. The celestion g12t-75 speakers sound amazing with my marshall jtm-60 head, as im sure it would sound amazing with pretty much any head with the exception of a few who need not be named.

I use a Gibson Les Paul standard, and a Fender Mustang with "hot-rails".. I have no complaints with this cabinet using either of my guitars. I play in a indie rock band with aspirations of world domination.. no really.. this cabinet is great for gigs, because it is somewhat easy to move, and it sounds wonderful.
