An excellent cabinet for the money. I mostly play heavy rock/blues and this cab works fine. I do have a 4 x 12 Marshall with Celestion Greenbacks, a VHT with Eminence, and Mako with Celestions. This is my #2 cabinet and I use it quite often.

This amp is very reliable. The speakers themselves take some time to finally break in, but once they do they sound incredible. As far as the construction goes. Look at every big name player and see what they're playing. The same cab, probably different (greenback) speakers.

I've never had to deal with the company personally, but i've been very happy with my dealer and he said it could go through him.

Overall I gave it a 9 because I've been fortunate enough to have been blessed with the perfect cab. This is now my #2.

Alright, this cabinet is horrible when paired with any of the JCM2000 shit series. i tried it with some other heads, but it still is NOT a METAL CABINET. nothing marshall has made in the past 7 years is suitable for a metal sound.
do yourself a favor and try some other cabinets, or some other brands.
Also, i am not a mesa persion who hates marshall, i hate mesa's over priced shit too. i just hate how marshall is treated as a respectable brand when their gear is so shitty

This cab is a brand new one. 300 watts, 4x12, G12T-75 speakers. This cab...oh man, it's just simply incredible. It is absolutely fine for my style of guitar playing (well I'd like to call it that). I play mostly older metal such as Black Sabbath, pre-Black Album Metallica, Slayer, but I do enjoy newer stuff as well, like Mudvayne, Diecast, etc.....It has two separate jacks, and mono stereo switching. There's really nothing else I wish it had with it. I haven't gigged with this cab yet, but I jam every week with my band and it sounds awesome. I power it with a Supreme 160 head (160 watts). These two sounds incredible together.

Well...I use a rather cheap BC Rich Warlock, acrylic series guitar, with stock pickups. The cab made some odd noises at first, but after playing for a couple hours, the speakers "loosened up" and started get that awesome sound they have now.

This cab is very strong. It's 100 POUNDS!! This thing is a beast. This is my only cab right now, so I have no backup, but probably don't need one.

I've been playing for about 5 years now. This is my only cab, and my only head is the Peavey Supreme 160 mentioned earlier. If this thing were stolen, I'd definitely buy another one. I compared this to a bunch of much cheaper cabs such as Peavey 412MS, Avatar, Carvin, Crate, and this one just completely killed them. This one is just all around better.

2001 JCM900 1960A Cab 4x75 watts=300 watts of power Celestion G12T-75's for the asking. Drive it with a Marshall DSL100 Head. It's able to produce that "Tear Yor Head Off Blues". Has a select switch to select 4,8, or 16 ohm cab hook up. Built like a tank, built to last a lifetime. Hey, it's a cab. don't need many features. Use the cab for practice at home, and ggging samll clubs and parks. 100 LBS. When u lug this cab around it will cause hair to grow on your ass. It has wheels and handles to help. If you are by yourself, God be with you..encase you have a Heart Attack.

Gibson ES-355 Guitar with Humbuckers BABY, drives this puppy. Not noisy...has a great voice for Blues. Very nice bottom. Singing highs and mid are very nice. No rattles, or squeaks....yet. I want to open it and look inside, but as they say, if it's ain't broke don't fuck with it.

Great Marshall midrange crunch with the PROPER amount of BASS. I use a Marshall 50/50 el34 (siemens tubed!), ADA mp1, Alesis eq and 10 gauge speaker cable. Uniformly balanced, clean & powerfull midrange, above average projection, doesn't breakup quickly like the greenbacks but stays focused, good definition. May not be warm sounding with the wrong amp and configuration. It's lacking in bass if you want to sound like a bass player w/ distortion...otherwise bass is fine to my ears. When I crank up the bass on the eq and preamp, the speakers bottom and turn to mud because the tubes are overloading and the speakers are not designed for 20hz!!!!!
I know the Boogie players will dog this cabinet, they are truly narrow minded. Guitar is not intended to sound like a bass. Know your frequencies and know that guitars are not in the BASS FREQUENCY RANGE. It's your power amps that are giving you the bass and the reason Boogie uses Vintage30's because they match the load of their heads. Celestion 75r's are not generally known for gobs of gut wrenching bass. It's the voicing of the tube amp, generally type of tubes, that your ears are hearing. El34 tubed amps work well with this cabinet. Bear in mind not every El34 Marshall head is the same...so results will vary.
If your looking for that classic 80's Marshall crunch, here it is. You really can't go wrong with this cabinet. I'm glad the Boogie folks are dogging it. It will make it easier pick these up cheaper just test it with the right amp!

Marshall JCM 900 1960A cabinet, slant front, 4 Celestion G12T-75s, I'm sure you know the rest. My only drawback? It weights over 100 pounds and I have to carry it myself. Please don't underestimate the weight of this cabinet. It is a big fucking bastard.

Heavy as fuck, thudding low end when I crank my amp up loud. I use a Mesa/Boogie .50 Caliber + head and play thrash/death/black metal. I love the thuddy low end and I love the thrashy, unfoucussed, processed and refined sound of the Celestion G12T-75s.

If it were stolen, I'd buy a Genz Benz G-Flex 2x12 because it's much lighter and just as heavy, if not heavier, sounding. The weight of this thing is a huge drawback. Do not take weight too lightly.

This cabinet sounds awesome to me. I do not like a shitload of bass, and I do not get a shitload of bass in this cabinet. I get exactly what I want for bass. I use a JCM900 model 4100 100 wat all tube head with this cab and it sounds awesome! I keep my mids almost all the way up and the bass on my head all the way up. I reduce the treble and pres to like 5. It sounds great. Very clear and everynotes heard. When I palm mute I get a huge thud that not only sounds, but feels, so powerful. This is a great cabinet unless you are looking for a disgusting amount of bass (you know there are people called bassists that might appreciate that!), then this is a unwise cabinet. But if you want a reasonable amount of bass, great mids, and clear highs for that very fat sound, this is were its at.

Loaded with 4 12 inch G12T-75 watt speakers, 300w RMS, 16/4 ohms mono, or 8 ohms stereo. Covered in a black grille cloth with white piping, Large white Marshall logo and black elephant grain vinyl. The 4 casters on the bottom come off with a twist of an allen wrench, perfect for quick set-up. Very solid (19 screws) closed-back cabinet. I give this a 10 because I can't think of any other features a guitar cabinet could have...

This cabinet is very cool. I use a Gibson Gothic V with classic 57's, and a Gibson EDS-1275 Doubleneck with the 408t and 490r pickups that originally belonged to the V through a Snarling Dogs Whine-o-Wah and an Ernie Ball volume pedal. That runs into my Marshall JCM2000 TSL100 100-watt head. It is the best sound ever. I dont understand why people badmouth the bass... maybe you just need a good tube head to get it to work properly. Also been used with my girlfriend's Marshall JMP-1 Preamp and el34 100\100 power amp. Very cool. With my setup, I get more bass than an A-Bomb.
Actually, maybe the other people who don't like the bass haven't tried taking off the casters. That is probably a good idea.

I have several things to say. The BAD NEWS is the manual. They have a single manual to explain four of their cabinets: the 1960A, 1960B, 1960AV and 1960BV, and also SOME 2x12 models (didn't specify which ones) Also, before I bought this I wrote Marshall and asked for some product information. That was over a year ago. I worte them again, and got an apology and some product info. So maybe it got lost in the mail or something, but I don't know so they get a four.

I have been playing for 6 years. I would not get this stolen, because I keep it in my bedroom. I hate the manual, I love the sound. I tried the MESA\Boogies, they arent nearly as good. When I have the gain on full, and I hit a chord, I hear every note. On a M\B, you hear an over-compressed, bad sound. Im sure everyone will say im wrong, but I dare them to go and try it.

I am playing an ESP: LTD Viper 300 (yes with the shitty stock p/u's), morley bad horsie wah, and my amp is a Crate GFX 212 combo that was designed to have a cab put under it: so I have six 12" speakers driving at the same time. This cab is slanted, but it still has some killer bass response, I play lots of styles but mostly metal, and palm muting gets LOTS of chunk with this thing. It doesn't break up at high volumes like the shitty speakers that are in my combo (most likely because they are some of the best celestions out there for guitarists).

I got it used, so it has had a little wear, but very little. There are a few dings on the bottom and the speaker input says "Made in land" I don't care about those cosmetic blemishes, it sounds great. The handles are built rugged and so is everything else. The grille cover is reinforced with wood (right under the "Marshall" logo), so I makes the grille a lot more sturdy and less prone to rip. I plan to keep this thing forver, and I'm sure it will hold up just fine!

I've been playing for 5 years and all my other amps are puny little things. This thing is better than I imagined. If it were stolen, I'd say I would buy it again. Marshall cabs are loved by all guitarists. I don't like marshall amps, but their cabs are world class!
I compared it to the Peavey cabs, they are not as versital, and the 5150 cab is only 16 ohms mono. I was going to get it new for 600 bucks, then I found this used one in almost new condition... I would have payed 600 for it, but I saved myself 200 bucks by goin used.
