This is a speaker cabinet, so it doesn't have much for features. It's angled, 4 twelve inch speakers, side handles, casters, capable of handling 300 watts, and inputs for 4 ohms or 16 and a switch for mono or stereo. This is probably all you could ask for in a cab.

This thing sounds amazing. It has the Celestion 75 watt speakers in it, unlike the others that have the 30 watts in it. I'm powering it with my 50 watt Peavey amp for now until I save up enough for a head. I'm unsure of what head to buy, probably a Marshall. I use a Guild into my Fab Tone into the Peavey into this and distorted it sounds Smashing Pumpkins circa 1993, I love it, sounds great clean too.

It looks pretty strong, just gotta make sure you don't crank it too loud and blow a speaker, or drop it.

I've been playing for about 4 years. The equipment I mentioned above is all I own except for a Strat and a small Peavey amp that I gave to my brother. I had a Zoom pedal and an old cabinet, but I sold them and bought this. I don't think it's possible to lose this thing; it's pretty big, and I'd never let it get stolen. If I had to, I would buy another, or maybe a Mesa/Boogie, if I could ever afford it.

There was a comment on the 1965a 4x10" box, so I thought... why not comment of the 4x12" cabinet.... after all it is THE industry standard. These boxes are the ducks nutz..... with a 2204 head on top, it is the best combination known to man kind...... the worlds best guitarists for the past 40 years can't all be wrong! (Think about it.......) I have a JCM800 1960a 4x12 angle front Marshall cabinet. It was bought, and used only at home, and then kept in a wardrobe for the next 14 years..... As my 2204 is a JCM800 Mk2 50w head, (in imaculate condition!) the 1960a box complimented the head perfectly! IT KICKS ARSE! Versatile?????? It sounds great for rock and roll.... what else do you need! :-) I have not only used it with the head, but my 4501 and 4402 combos. These are both 50w models, and the sound is a wall.... if you want to be heard, then this is the box. The 4x 75watt Celestians are just wonderful. Stuff the rest, I have found EV's too rigid, JBL's too clean and stiff, Sheffields are a poor copy.... the rest are wantabees.....

I only have one guitar, that I play through this box... an Ibanez Jem 77FP.... with PAF PRO's, and the news is all good... I only use the box for major gigs, on larger scale stages, and it's great to get a back massage while I'm playing from my quad box..... The 4x12's aren't as sweet as the 4x10 box, and has that harder edge to it.... VERY NICE.

The box is rated at 300watts RMS, which means that it can comfortably handle a 100w or 150w amp stuck into it. Someone didn't tell Marshall how to rate there amps, and my 50w Marshall collection individually are louder than almost any other amp on earth, except 100w Marshalls. I've owned Mesa's, Twins, Ampeg.... and the result is always the same..... the Marshall is just in your face at the flick of a switch.... this means that these quads cop one hell of a flogging, when they are regularly used live... in loud venues.... An they just keep going.... I call it industrial strength! They don't stop. So.... Realiable.... I bloodywell think so!

This box is a work of art..... an historical statement about the history of modern music..... a reason for living..... a great piece of furniture.... a fashion statement..... and alter to every guitarist since the 60's and into the future..... THE LOVE OF MY LIFE..... I think you get the idea.... I'm happy :-) (and no drugs required....)
