Bought new in 2007, and using it with a Splawn Quickrod.
I play a variety, but mostly 80's type screamin maniac guitar type stuff along with the SRV Texas blues.

For me,the bottom line is that there just isn't enough bottom. I want to be able to dive bomb the low E and feel like I'm being sucked into the cab. This cab does not do that. But that's what you get when you buy sight-unseen and go by reviews that are glowing.

This isn't meant to be a bad rating but it's a cabinet... not really any extra features to speak of. It has casters, cheap handles, and an input jack.

I've had this cabinet for about 6 years and really just kind of rediscovered it because I hadn't played through it for a few years. I have a 50w 4 input, plexi style marshall head that was made in about the same year which I assume to be 2000 because I bought the pair in 01 brand new. The first couple years I played through a power brake at fairly low volumes in my house and I always loved the sound with my strat. 97 strat plus with rosewood fretboard and texas special pickups. I haven't played through many other cabinets to compare it to but it nailed the Hendrix and Zeppelin sounds I was after. The major problem I noticed was when I eliminated the power brake and played it loud it has a terrible rattle on lower notes F# to G on 6th string. This is very distracting and literally sounds like there is a jackhammer inside the cabinet trying to get out. I'm not sure if it is destructive to the cabinet or speakers but it doesn't sound like it is a good thing.
It definitely sounds best with the marshall which has GT E34L's and GT 12AX7's, I used my Reverend 60w amp with 6L6's and 12Ax7s and it just doesn't work well with the strat like it does with the marshall head.
The rattle is some kind of resonance problem which I am attempting to fix. If I get it fixed I'd be much happier with the cabinet but it shouldn't leave the factor with an apparent design flaw like that. Maybe it is a limited thing as I have seen only one other reviewer mention this same problem.
I will say though that with the marshall amp this cabinet can get extremely loud to the point of being painful in anything less than a very large room and closer than 15 ft.

Again it is a cabinet and simple by design but I have never had any issues with reliability such as a short of speaker failing. It has never been run hard though or played at high volume levels for extended periods.

This is the only nice cabinet I have ever owned but I plan to add to my collection. I am having some work done to the head and I plan to keep them as a pair but would like to try other cabinets eventually. I played through an Orange 4x12 cabinet and it sounded great but it was through an orange amp as well so I'm sure it'd sound different through my amp. Maybe eventually I will be able to take my amp and demo it with some other cabinets but for now I am happy with this cabinet overall.

Back of the Cab reads 1960 TV, the previous owner says he's done some research and it was built in 1989.
One input, 4x12" Celestion Greenbacks.
Use the amp at home currently have yet to gig with it. But it does everything i need it to.

I'm currently powering the cabinet with my Mesa Boogie F-30 and playing my Fender Cyclone (with a Duncan JB JR in the neck and stock pickup in the bridge position). I use a couple of effects in the signal chain: Ibanez Tubescreamer, Boss Tremolo, Dunlop Jimi Hendrix Wah, and Line 6 DL4.
I play a bit of everything, some bluesy stuff, some rock, whatever comes to my head and some covers. The cabinet does everything from clean to high gain excellently, once i got it home and plugged it in i couldn't resist turning it up to enjoy it.

The cabinet itself is fairly beat up, looks like it's seen it's share of stages and vans. The Tolex is ripped and the grille cloth is in rough shape (but mostly in tact). Being an older cabinet it is made from actual plywood and not from the sawdust & glue chipboard that a lot of newer cabinets are built from. I'd drop it off a stage or back of a truck and think it'd hold up... but really don't want to test that theory. IF i ever start touring with it i'm buying a roadcase.

Have yet to deal with Marshall, it's a used cabinet so not sure how much they care. The store i bought it from offered a year warranty on it though.

I've been playing for about 4 years now, played various amps and guitars, Fender, Vox, Mesa, and am most pleased with my current setup. I've considered going to just a Mesa F-30 head to power the cabinet with but decided to keep the combo for smaller gigs and venues.
If this cabinet were stolen i'd track the bastard down and beat them with thier own shoe. if it were somehow lost it would take forever for me to find it's replacement seeing as they just don't make 'em like they used to.
I like the sound of the cab, it's a bit big, but still fits in the back of my 99 Cavalier Z24, it's not so pretty on the exterior but works just fine. The castors are a little sticky but they are just about 20 years old, will replace in good time.
I played this cabinet and one other used Marshall cabinet (a 1960B i think) with Vintage 30's in it. The TV cab sounded warmer and didn't have a serious mid-deficiency. The greenbacks sound wonderful, well rounded and cover the frequency range well. If i get some money i may look into replacing the stock mesa speaker in my F-30 with a greenback.

Playing a Gibson Les Paul Studio Plus or Gibson SG faded for the sound. Have no problems with the sound. Clean, Crunch or lead, this cab handles all the sound I can deliver to it.Not supposed to give it all 10, from the Amp though. For the Marshall Roar,It delivers Top Performance sound. It's a Keeper. Sweet.Rockin the 70's, 80's and 90's Music.O,K, some 60's also.

Not many features, but so what.
The one I have now is an "older" reissue, made completely from ply and supposedly a few inches deeper than the recent ones.
This is my second TV cab. I sold my first when my old band broke up and I moved across the country. I tried a couple other cabinets that SUCKED by comparison. I play a 1969 Marshall super lead 100w amp, which fried the greenbacks in my first TV cab in approximately 7 minutes the first time I hooked it up. YOW! But it sounded damn good until that happened. Because I'd bought that one new, Marshall was kind enough to replace all 4 free of charge. I kept them in there and used another open-back Fender 2x12" cab with EVs as well. That was an insanely fat, loud live sound I had. It was a pain to truck all those speakers around though. And of course I was unecessarily loud. That was back in the days before the Hot Plate.
Anyways, because of that experience, this time I took the greenbacks out of my second TV cab and installed 75w celestions instead. It might not sound quite as great, but it does sound wonderful, and at least it works!
I don't need stereo wiring, so I don't care that this speaker doesn't have it. It has two jacks, so if you care about stereo wiring, you could just rewire the thing.

Sounds great.. a lot more bass than a normal 4x12" because it's taller. The wood must flex more. It also sounds good because the speakers are back-mounted, not front-mounted. Front-mounted (a la Mesa, Fender, etc) is stupid penny-pinching cheesy sounding crap, bro.
I love celestion speakers. I know the greenbacks are better than the 75w, but with my 100w amp (puts out 130w actually) I just don't have much of a choice. Not unless I wanted to cart around two of these cabinets.
Reliability
:

Dead reliable from an electronic standpoint. ..at least after I replaced the greenbacks with 75w speaks. Otherwise, I'd be frying speakers with regularity.
But you know what sucks? The recessed plastic handles. NEVER pick it up by one handle. They will break. Ask me how I know. Also, the caster wheels suck. I've broken a couple of those too. Anyway, this thing seems like it would be tough, but it still must be babied.

Marshall was really nice for replacing the greenbacks in my first TV cab. They did it quickly too. My argument was lame but they bought it... "Hey you guys said this was a 100w cab. I have a 100w amp, so why did the spkrs blow??" heh.

For about 5 years I ewas very satisfied with it. I thought it was better than a 4x 75 watt speaker. But.... just now I bought a 1969 4x 25 watt original greenback cabinet. You might have guessed: I was blown away with it's sparkling 3 dimensional sound. Clean or distarted: wondrfull! Unless you have heard it you probably would not believe it. I am about putting away my 1960TV reissue. It is somewhat harsh with ugly midhighs compared to the original. It's is true: they don't make this quality these days. I am a big Marshall fan and loved my old set but the holy grail lies in the past. For this reason it gets 7 points.

i have to admit that i am not impressed with this cabinet. it does look awesome, but it doesnt have any low end. i have a plexi head that i run through it and i a/b'd it next to my super reverb and believe it or not, the 4x10s have almost twice as much bottom. i will say that i dont regret buying it, because it does look awesome and looks great along side the plexi but i do plan on replacing the speakers. i was under the impression that the larger cabinet would allow the speakers to breathe/throw more. if i didnt have the super reverb to compare it to, i probably wouldnt have any complaints. i realize that they are two totally different animals and i dont expect them to have the same characteristics, but i do expect the TV to have more range, or at least a better sound.

Side handles (I recommend wheels, weighs a ton)
100 watts total
4 Celestion Greenback speakers (25 watts each)
1 input (mono only) old style
Silver basket weave grill cloth
Old style, small Marshall logo (Plexi style)
3 inches taller than a normal Marshall 4x12
Would give it a 10 if it was stereo, but then it wouldn't be a reissue! But still, could come in handy.

I don't know how to explain it...
Perfect!..no, nothing's perfect...
Almost perfect!
This cab breathes! It pushes and throws the sound at you, perfectly balanced. Thick mids, full bottom, beautiful highs.
The extra large dimensions of the cab and the greenback speakers go together so well.
The basket weave grill cloth actually filters out a touch of the high end (annoying buzz), overdrives and distortions sound smooth and lush.
I've plugged many amps into this cab and was astounded at how much better they sounded. It brings tube amps to life, it has a 3-D sound that surrounds you.
The sound I enjoy playing with is kind of like a Van Halen meets Led Zeppelinish tone. Although, alot of the songs we play in the band call for clean sounds, which sound huge and full.
I've had this cab for 2 years and have used it with a 71 Marshall Superlead, Rivera TBR-1SL, Vox AC30.
I'm really hard pressed describing how much I love the sound of this cab, I'm really impressed, you have to try one.

Get one, get one, get one!
I honestly can't see how anyone wouldn't agree this is the best 4x12 cab around, period, if your into a rock sound.
I buy, sell and trade amps from time to time, but this cab is staying!
Sadly, I can't use it for smaller gigs (I have a combo for them), but when my band plays larger gigs (a few times a month) my band members cheer (seriously) as they see me loading it in.
IT'S MARSHALL NIGHT!!!

This is great sounding! I run a Marshall 30th Anniversary Head through it, it sounds great! Nice bass especially, I used to have a top of the range hughes and kettner cab with greenbacks (which would cost twice what this did new) and this one sounds much nicer (probably because of the large size) and looks a billion times better.

I bought this cab new, I wanted to buy one secondhand from the shop online, so I did, but then I noticed they had it for sale on ebay too! I phoned them and they said they didn't want to cancel the auction but would give me a good deal on a new one, I got #140 off the RRP (making it #30 cheaper then I've ever seen it before). But anyway, this cab was a bargain! It looks amazing and sounds amazing, I had been wanting one for a year, and now I have one! Go and get yourself one! RIGHT NOW!

1998 Marshall 1960TV ("Tall Vintage") filled with 25W greenbacks. This is the tallest quadbox i've ever seen. I added some of my own castors to it and it looks very imposing. One 16ohm mono input. The cabinet is fairly heavy and takes some effort to get into the back of my car. The addition of castors was a must before I gigged with this thing.

I'm running a 1997 Marshall 1987XW ("plexi" reissue) into this cabinet. It's amazing how much air this cabinet really moves. It makes the room shake with the amp even at its lowest volumes (it is a loud amp though.. ). The greenback speakers are really warm and have a particularly nice low end/low midrange sound. The additional height of the cabinet lets it get even more air than a normal quad which further improves the bass response of the cabinet.
The speaker magnets are seriously powerful, rolling the cabinet past my television (at a fair distance) caused the picture to go all strange as the amp went past. I've never seen that happen with another cabinet.
This quad is definitely suited to people after a bassy warm sound in their tone. The greenbacks are fantastic speakers in a normal sized cabinet, but the extra height really adds something special.
Reliability
:
10
Built like a brick. I think i'd struggle to do damage to this quad. The only way i can imagine damaging it is running too much power into it (it's only 100W) and frying the speakers that way. Thats pretty hard to do with my 50W head at the moment :).

I've been playing 8 years or thereabouts. This amp is worth it just for the look. The grill cloth looks really special and gives your stack some personality. The small marshall logo and gold trim also look really cool. I'd certainly look for another one of these (pretty hard to track down in Australia) or one of the normal sized marshall cabinets with greenbacks if it was ever lost/stolen.
I've played a few quads and none come close to the low end response of this box. I play mostly fender guitars and my tone is fairly treble heavy, so the low end of this box really balances my tone in a nice way. When cranked this cabinet sounds huge.
I was told when I bought my reissue plexi that I needed greenbacks to make it sing, and it's amazing what a difference the speakers make to this amp. They really bring out a lot more warmth.
The only feature missing that would be kinda cool is a stereo option, but being a 100W cabinet i can see why this was left off.
