This cabinet was introduced in 1988 and was discontinued in 1991. It was meant for use with the 150w 3315 transistorised Master Volume Split Channel head. It has 2 12'' 16 ohm G12T75 speakers wired parallel, mono, 150w at 8 ohm total at the jack. This cabinet is the same size as the 1960A but with only 2 speaker holes cut into the baffle positioned diagonally. Other than that, the cabinet is constructed like the typical marshall 1960a, same side handles, all plywood with mdf back panel. It is very simple; only one jack. Its massive for a 2x12, which gives it such a great sound. I use it with a ceriaTone/Marshall 18w TMB Plexi head.

As i mentioned before, these speakers are G12T75's. They suit me fine. The cab is very solid, and there are no rattles. The large size of the cab gives the sound alot of depth, and fullness. It sounds HUGE compared to typical 2x12's. It has so much more OMPH than my 1936 and is slightly louder to my ears probably due to the speakers being placed where they are. It is a closed back cab that responds pretty crisply, and has alot of punch.
I give this a 10. ..sounds awesome!

I give this a 10 as well, heavy tolex, study casters, etc. It looks brand new for being almost 20 years old. I have no problem believing it will last another 20.

Its an interesting cabinet. A 4x12 sized package in 2x12 form. Because of that its not the most portable 2x12 there is. It is however a comprimise that im willing to take for that wonderful OMPH! that most 2x12's just cannot deliver. Its also gives you the look a real marshall half stack but with alot less weight. Rolling it into gigs makes it look like you mean business.
