It's a kind of Baby-Plexi soundwise and a Baby-Bluesbreaker in the look. No frills, it's a one-trick-pony, but what a trick!!
The feature are as basic as you can think: 5W class A (don't let the small size and the low wattage fool you: this thing is loud enough to upset your neighbour really bad); controls are Volume, Bass, Mid, Treble; no stand-by (-1); 1x extension speaker out (very useful); 1x headphone out (absolutely useless soundwise: it sounds brittle and raspy and ear damaging loud); 1x 10" Celestion speaker.
You can desume versatility is not the right territory for this little killer, tht's why I rate it low in this section.
The best feature is weight: 12 Kg, so it's easily carried out for gigging (+1)

I play Country, Blues and Southern Rock. I don't use effects and plug my guitar straight into the amp, bring the volume to the boiling point and let the volume control of my guitar do the job to get all the nuances I need from clean to killing distortion. BTW, I use only humbucker equipped guitars (two self-built stratoids and a PRS SE Singlecut loaded with Duncan 59n and Duncan Custom SH5-b).
This little monster does its job very well and sounds great, but...
...the bad thing is yet to come: see the reliability section.

I never gigged with a backup in my 30+ live playing activity and this baby SEEMS well built and rock solid: after one hour of playing at a rehearsal a kinda rattling noise appeared. No way I could stop it. I had a little break and switched it off for half an hour; when I restarted playing the noise got louder and the hotter the amp got (you could cook a T-bone steak on its panel after 5 min), the muddier the sound: it became like a muffled lion that's got a cold (got the idea?): just flubby, roaring bass frequencies and no air.
Now it's at the tech's waiting for a diagnosis and possibly the cure.
I love Marshall and had many: JCM800, JCM900, DSL401 and recently a 1974x and now this; well, these latest ones are the only that let me down.
I guess the Guvnor should pay some attention at who's making his amps!

I agrree with the other reviewer in that they don't answer to the mails... I can understand that a big company may take a long time for this task, so I want to be tolerant and wait a little longer, but I can't rate it at a satisfying level.

I won't bother you any longer with my biographic notes or gear listing.
This amp is incredible sounding as long as it sounds! (-2)
It's light, good looking and cheap; may be too cheap to be reliable?
What do you expect from a 400 bucks amp that declares to be made in England? that it sounds, too? Ahahahaha, you're kidding, buddy!
I hope, once I get it repaired, that it works the right way and then I'll keep it as long as I'm alive, but I have some doubts at the moment.

5 W "Mini-Bluesbreaker; made in England. Volume, Bass, Middle, Treble. Has a 16 Ohms out and a headphone jack; which in the end is quite useless soundwise. Made from Birchwood - and has a nice appearance. I use it for home and small gigs. I play mostly Hendrix, Gallagher and Gibbons style music. Fore Bluesrock this little monster really delivers...

I use a Gibby Les Paul Historic and a CS Stratocaster through it. Sound is terrific - pure Marshall in a small (but still loud!) package. Its a marriage made in heaven for Blues and Rock. Variety is limited; and not much clean eadroom - but I do not need this. Noise level is quite low. You get pure classic rock crunch out of it!!!

- This is where it becomes a bit problematic: When I received it, the packaging cramps during package damaged the tolex; I have a hole now. One of he pre-Amp tubes was VERY microphonic, and the whole amp made a lot of rattling noises as nearly all of the screws were not tight enough. It took me hours to tame those strange noises - weird. I think for made in England Quality Control sucks and leaves a lot to desire. In the end you pay (adequate money - but if quality is bad Marshall will get in deep trouble on this potential blockbuster....
