This is a brand new 2x12 horizontal cabinet made just for me by the very nice people at Matamp. It matches my GTL amp and was specially made to help me destroy innocent bystanders hearing abilities.
It is in a black basket weave vinyl covering, has a very very nice tan coloured material covering the front giving it a sort of vintage feel, and also has the Matamp 'Green" logo matching my amp. It has a pair of Celestion hot 100w speakers in it. These speakers have been responsible for deafening bandmates and dishing out tinitus.
I can use this amp in conjunction with my other cabs (the wiring and sockets were all worked out by Matamp for ohm ratings etc), or I can use this cab on its own horizontally or vertically becuase it has an extra set of rubber feet so it can be stood up, (the badge also swivels so it's the right way up!!).
It has a carrying handle recessed into each side making it really easy to lug around.
The construction is flawless. It's the best cab I've ever seen. It it completely solid.

This cab can handle a LOT of volume. Although I got it mainly for getting the top end out more clearly, it can be used on it's own quite happily. The sound is full, deep, resonant and clear. It's obvious that the materials used and the way it is built and the overal exceptional quality of this cab make it the best sounding I have ever played through.

Like I said before, this cab is solid. I know it's going to last me a lifetime. The history and heritage of Matamp should tell you that you are going to get a top quality reliable unit. They build their stuff by hand. It's not some Nissan car line churning out 100's of amps and cabs per day built by machines. They take every care with their work, and produce the best product available.

These people are the friendliest people I have ever dealt with. I told them what I wanted and what I specifically wanted it for, I told them the shape and finish......and they built it. They gave me all the advice I needed regarding power ratings and speakers. And the end result was a cab that is the envy of everyone who sees it.

I find myself just staring at it thinking...THAT is an amazing cabinet.
One day I hope to be on stage with a wall of Matamp 4x12's behind me....
