Real simple:Master-presence-treble-bass-filter-gain-two inputs one 8db hotter than the other: just what I wanted. having a presence knob is nice, and the filter stage can make this thing nasty. With effects in front, the thing is strait out of hell. Thats a good thing.

Whatever. Not a lot of chime for clean but the distortion is the best I've heard, but turn down the filter presence and gain and your talking about great recording clean tones. Not very noisy, and the sound radiates from the cab-very predictable in any club/ small venue setting. I use a LP studio and a jag-stang. either one destroys. effects:big muff/russian, holy grail/mars, line 6 delay modeler, dr.Q, dunlop trem-all of them shine with this amp. The distortion...you wish you had it.

Uhh, backup? I'm poor. If it goes out I'll turn into a singer for the rest of the show. So far so good though.
