Built 2004, single channel all tube 7 watt head.
I saw the Review in "Guitarist" and just had to get one.
Perfect for recording and small gigs, but might be underpowered for a "Nu-Metal" band, anyway its extremely loud and almost noise free !!
Controls are simple and very effective, one channel is fine for me.
Huge range of sounds/tones available.

Used with Jap strat, and epiphone 335dot, very "chimey" in an AC30 kind of way, clean sounds are wonderful and the break up on this little beast is fantastic, crank the "attack" knob, turn up and you're in heaven !
Putting a nice overdrive in front can help to get more crunch, sounds great with a Boss BD-2.
Distortion is creamy and great for Blues/pop/rock tones.
I cannot fault the sound at all, one of the best i've heard.

Too new to tell, but its a very well built amp head and Matamp have a great reputation, They have guilt for Hiwatt, etc etc.

Jeff and the guys at Matamp are a blast, very friendly and helpful I dont see any problems arrising that they would be unable to help with.

I love this little amp, also have a 1x12 cab to go with it ( hence the price of the two items) I would replace it without hesitation.
Sounds like a mini boutique AC30 to my ears, and a very good one too.
Perfect for studio recording, where it will get most use, wont send the neighbours round the bend !
Highly recommended.
