Twin channel [footswitchable], 140w. Voice, Gain 1, Gain 2, Bass, Middle, Treble, Master 1, Master 2, Sharp/Flat switch, Standby, Power. Half power switch and full tube bias points. 4 x JJ EL34's and 4 x ECC83 tubes.
I have never liked amps with zillions of knobs, so this amp suits me fine. It's simple to use yet still very versitile. The only features that I miss are reverb and possibly an effects loop. Mind you, all Matamps can be changed so I guess I could take it back and get these features added.
Be warned this amp is brutally loud! I have never had the hi gain channel above halfway and usually only run it on about 2.

My main guitar is a Telecaster and I tell you it kicks ass through my Matamp. The clean channel is excellent, shimmering cleans that get all crunchy once the master volume is cranked. With gain on halfway this channel breaks up beautifully.
The distortion channel is brutal. The voice switch comes into play here, there are six settings which dial in a thicker and thicker tone. You can then play around with the EQ's once you've got the tone as you want it. Feedback and almost limitless sustain can be achieved on this channel. The bass response from this amp have to be heard to be believed, move the bass eq past 12 'o' clock and you'll have the shelves rattling.

I have been playing for 10 years using various amps. This amp is a keeper, I will not be buying another amp ever again.
Prior ot getting this I tried, Cornford, Matchless & Orange and none came close to Matamp. On build quality alone they win hands down.
