Features : 8
New, custom-order from http://www.musicweb-uk.com/
Design for blues/jazz playing.
Ascetic features, one input + external speaker out.
Presense, bass/treble/middle knobs, you dont need more.
Not very versatile (22 kg). Why not lighter? i can saw 5 cm away from cabinet if i want (taking away blue bell from speaker).
Power 50W (class AB?), enough for soloplaying and practicing.
Tubes are Russian made 12AX7 and EL34 (its another discussion to talk
about tube-sounds)
First made were equipped with alnico loudspeaker.

Sound Quality : 9
Mainly using Gibson ES175 with specialmade singlecoilmic
with works best. Strings Daddario chromes medium.
I also tested it with Guild humbucker and Humbucker 57.
Them lowest bass were too bassy (newer been it this way with other amps!). Sound is design for clean retro tubesound.
The amp gets what you put in it slavely: if you have worst guitar
you gets it out and if you have goog quality (jazz)guitar
you get good sound. I prefer the sound is not so good for new laminated top guitars (the sound is brighter).
The Amp is good for jazzguitar playing, but not a best. Choosing Standels speaker and
autentic 60'tubes it could be near to Platonic ideal.

Reliability : 9
Feels reliable, but not much experince yet (6 months)
Some radio frequenses plays throght sometimes, witch can
disturb (or amuse) with live situations.

Customer Support : 2
I pay my bill as agreeded and it takes two months to get it.
Any serial number are not marked to amp (why?)
Any insurance paper were not sended altought they have promised them.
Any user instructions and specs were not at all with package.

Overall Rating : 9
I an amateur player (somethin over twenty years) owning several
jazzguitars but not many amps design for jazzers.
There is many amps today for jazzguitarist (i have spent too many money for searching "jazzguitaramp"). JB50 is good direction
to it especially if you have good quality jazzguitar and
looking real puristic "retro" sound. If you buy a real old tube amp;
it is not so reliable comparing
these new retro mades; you must invest money for its service and
original parts are not often available.
