Voice (3 clean 3 Overdriven) / Volume (Pre) / Drive / Tone-Treble / Tone-Bass /Master Volume On/OFF Switch (+LED)
DI out 8/16 Ohm
No FX Loop or Reverb
Everything you need to tweak the sound, power is quoted at 2/4 watts (in your dreams) while the clean headroom may be limited even then its very loud before it breaks up, lets put it like this if you don???t need too much clean its loud enough to be heard over a drummer.

The Voice switch combined with the 2 tone controls give so much flexibility especially when using the Drive settings. The sound is very detailed and responsive and needs decent kit going into it (guitars / pedals & interconnects). It does warm velvety detailed cleans through to Jimmy Page crunch (even on the drive settings its very responsive to touch).
For O/D I run a Tubescreamer type and the natural clarity & detail of the amp cuts through as well as keeping that full bodied Valve sound, it just seems to get the absolute best out of any pedal you use. Its an amazing amp and incomparable with anything I???ve tried in this price bracket.

The design of the amp is pretty straight forward there aren???t many components in the case and what is there looks to be of a very high quality, if something ever did blow on the amp then it would be a piece of cake to get it fixed. Access is also easy for changing the valves if you so wish.

This is one cracking piece of kit, your looking at boutique stuff designed for studio use before you get into doing comparisons, hand wired discrete component valve amps do sound as good as the hype says (in this case anyway). This amp is suitable for all styles for home / studio or even rehearsal use, it drives 12??? speakers effortlessly and is very responsive to tonal changes (Guitars pickups pedals speaker type etc..). If you come across one of these just buy it.

This is a great Rock and Blues amp ! Wow ! They say its 4 watts but it easily holds its own with my drummer in the basement. Its a British made point to point wired all tube amp....2 12ax7's pushing a 6v6. Huge selection of tones via the voice switch....3 voices for cleans and 3 for overdrive. Its one channel but with the master, the voicing switch and your guitar volume control you can get many tones. Has a DI out and options for speaker ohms 16,8. No reverb or loop but who needs that. This thing KILLS !! Great for recording or bedroom use but can gig it....mike it...and run it on 11 !!! Throw away your pedals....pure tube tone here !

This baby has the warmest , richest overdrive I have ever heard...At 53 I have played MANY amps. You can get great blues tones and the classic British overdrive in spades...the Cleans are great ...true clean to hairy cleans that break up nicely....the MASTER volume is KILLER....Turn up the drive to 11 and use the master and your the KING !! Not noisy....built like a tank. I use Strats, PRS McCarty and Les Pauls and it shines with all of them. I mike it for bigger gigs and it roars. What a great amp !!

Matamp is A++ in reputation....this baby has a built in fan....can't hear it but it helps cool it off and I have had no problems after hours of playing. I gig it without a backup...never had an issue.

Purchased form Matamp in Oct 07
I tend to play mostly blues, bedroom only nowdays (I was looking for an amp that could be cranked up with annoying the family/neighbours
All tube amp using a pair of 12ax7s driving a single 6V6 output tube
Rated at just 4 watts (joke!!) - it is loud, loud, loud!!! (I have 20 watt all tube Marshall which does not seem as loud!!) More than enough output for a bedroom/recording
No reverb which would have been useful but like all good amps once it is cranked up the range of tones negates the use of reverb anyway

The amp is used to drive a couple of modern greenbacks in a 2 x 12 Marshall cab so needs to be wound up a bit to get sufficient headroom, otherwise it sounds a bit like a wasp in bottle. Once its cranked up it distorts relatively easily to get a lovely warm bluesy tone with Les Pauls (a have a 73 deluxe and a Junior Special Plus) whilst getting into Fender Bassman territory with using a Fender Strat (I use an 89 USA std).
Can be either very clean (glassy with the Strat) to very dirty sounding - any tone you like!

Too new to tell with regard to liability but very robustly built (I think more nuclear bunker here than skud shelter) - handwired and built in the UK!

The guys at Matamp are brilliant to deal with and very, very helpful. I was in the market for the First Lady amp at almost double the price (and a 7 watts twice as powerful) but they recommended the Little Rock for bedroom use.

I have been playing on and off for over 30 years
I have a Marshall DSL201 - great amp but is not as good as the Little Rock.
I searched around for my 'ideal amp' for a while (looked at Orange Tiny Terror etc) - this is just perfect.
When I first bought this I thought I had made a big mistake (tend to use big amps with the volume down). However, once cranked up (volume and master just over halfway) the amp starts to 'breathe' - from here on in it is just pure tone heaven. Don't be put off by the 4 watts rating...........!
