Bought this amp used in 2000, it was made in 1997. Amp is great for new/old country and new/old rock. Clean and dirty sounds easily
dialed in. It doesn't have channel switching but has two different channels with hi/lo inputs in each and master volume also. Effects loop also but I don't use it. Power is suffient for the outdoor stages I've played but not much extra, works fine in clubs and I'm
totally happy with the amount of power it has. The high rating here is the fact that it's very simple and quick to dial up a great tone and there are many different great sounds in this amp. The late model Fender Twin I had was loaded down with knobs but couldn't get as many good tones as this simple amp.

Hate to sound so swept away by this amp but it really deserves it
here! I use a Fender 52 reissue, G&L ASAT Special and it sounds awesome with either one. My son's Ibanez 6 & 7 strings with humbuckers sound great also and makes you realize how good it is for
Rock. I play a lot of country and the clean sounds are better than any Fender I've heard. I've owned a twin, 1980 concert, super champ,
silverface champ, 1980 princeton, and peavey bandit 112. Amp is dead
quiet and does a really good job on Rolling Stones sounds too. It can get fairly loud and clean but very gradually goes into distortion. One of the things I like so much about this amp is how smoothly and controllably it does go into distortion. It is also very touch sensitive. It's really powerfull for a 30 watt amp and the clean volume would be more in comparison to a 50/60 watt a/b style amp. The distortion just using the amp with no pedals is moderate like stones/tom petty but with a pedal much more is possible
and it really seems to like pedals. With the Ibanez humbuckers alot more distortion is there and with any guitar the swirly clean sounds are awesome. I was using a tc electronics chorus pedal with my twin but with this amp there is such a beatiful swirly clean I quit using
the pedal completely.

This amp was used by a pro a couple of years before I got it so it
saw plenty of use. I've used it alot and owned it 8 years now with no problems whatsoever. I have retubed it twice mainly to avoid any problems. I have had to replace some of the light bulbs for the back lit logo but that is provably to be expected. It is my main amp and gets plenty of use but seems to be solid as a rock. When I pulled the chassis to replace the bulbs it was like a peice of art and easy to see there was a lot of care put into this amp.

Bought it used with no warranty, and haven't had any issues but
called and talked talked to Phil Jamison a couple of times and he was easily accessible and very pleasant to talk to and didn't seem to mind answering questions.

I would highly recommend this amp for jazz, country, blues, or rock but I feel for metal it will get by but could be beat. I really love the sound above all but am impressed with the reliability of it also. Three of the Fender amps have given me trouble and the twin was in the shop a lot and two of the Fenders were purchased new. One of the most noticeable things is how well this amp sounds in the mix with a band. It sounds good playing it but there's some magic to the way it fits in with a band I've never heard with other amps.
