Features : 8
The TC200 has all standard features of a tube amp.
The front knobs include Input Level, Volume, three eq. knobs
(Treble, Mid, Bass) and a knob to abjust Precence. It also
has a "Deep" switch, that in effect add more bottom to the sound.
It has a effects loop on the rear panel, as well as
a the standard amp outputs, and power inputs.
Sovtek KT-100 are the original power tubes, but these are
not made any more. I had a bit of trouble finding replacing
tubes for it, but I did find some, from Sovtek & Electro-Harmonix
The 200 watts it provides is more than enough for any musician,
I would think.
I've experienced goes very well with a heavy duty 4x10" cabinet.

Sound Quality : 10
It sounds great. It has a warm and thick tone. Just what you'd
expect from a top class tube amp.
It has quite a prominent mid-range sound, but the three switch eq.
allows you to flatten this out, if wanted.
It is everything I've ever looked for in a tube amp, and more.
The sound is awesome. I've used it playing on different occations,
playing everything from heavy metal to jazz standards.

Reliability : 10
This amp has never let me down. The amp is seemingly flawless,
and has never needed any repairs from me.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I onced tried to contact The Matchless Co. via e-mail,
to get some info on the amplifier.
They wrote a very short reply, and I wouldn't say they
answerd my questions with much entusiasm.
I wondered if they could give me some info on the amp,
and they said there was made about 100 of it,
and that it was out of production.

I will not rate them for costumer support,
because I don't know the reasons for such a short reply.
Since I bought my amp second-hand, I had no guarantee from
The Matchless Co., only a informal promise from the person selling
me this amp that it was in top condition.

Note: I bought this amp as a part of a stage-ready bass rig,
including the TC200, a Hartke 410XL fitted with David Eden speaker
drivers, and flight cases for both the amp and the cabinet.
The price stated is the price for the whole rig.

Overall Rating : 10
This is a one of a kind amp. If you ever get an opportunity
to buy, or play one, take it.
I'm sure it will satisfy it's owner, whether he/she be a
real tube amp entuasiast or not.
I certainly won't sell this amp. Ever!!!
