200 watt via four KT-100's (since KT-100's are no longer made, I'm sure KT-90's or 88's would be fine). The normal Matchless fare... light up front, not many bells and whistles otherwise. Does have a Deep switch that seems to remove some of the attack of the amp, and a High/Low power switch on the back. These are very rare. Less than 50 made, I believe.

This is designed to be a bass amp but it works great as a clean guitar amp. It's very deep and lush sounding. It's never going to distort (well, not at a volume you could turn it up to. You should be able to run all the pedals you can think of through it and will sound God-like. Better than an Ampeg SVT head for bass.

It's a Matchless. The only problems you should have are tubes (until it needs a cap job down the road).
Customer Support

No Opinion
Matchless is not supporting the old amps. They will answer questions when they feel so inclined.

I don't know that it's a great valve being that it's a Matchless (ie - expensive) and super rare (ie - collectable). It does sound amazing. And if you're looking for the best clean sound that will never break up, this is it. Or if you looking for an amazing bass amp that will cost more than double an old SVT head, this is it too.
