Class A, 15 Watt (2 EL84s), 12" combo. Very simple pots: Volume, Tone, Trem Speed and Trem Depth. Point-to-point hand wiring. No PC boards. Great for playing at home, but plenty loud for a small combo in a reasonably small room. I give the Amp a 9 for this category because the simple set up (as opposed to many features) is exactly what gives this thing such great tone.

Tone heaven. Crisp, springy, Matchless. The tremolo goes from wonderfully subtle to very strong.

All original owners of Matchless amps receive a full lifetime warranty (excluding tubes). Great customer support and service. They sent it back better than new.

The price above is thanks to the guy at Sam Ash who priced this unit at $599. Should have been $1199, so I rate this amp's value a 10. Even at $1149, I would definitely buy it again. What better 2xEL84 combo is there?
