This is one is the best sounding cabs I've ever palyed through for Rock and Blues. I'm running a Groove Tubes S45 head through it.
It's a little boxy for some clean sounds but at the same time I can pull a very nice clean by turning down the volume on my guitar and adding a little treble. The full sound has amazing bottom and the cab is very, very deep, which creates a huge thumping feel.
In a Rock setting, it's hard to beat the value of these little jems and it records like a dream.
Overall, a lightwieght and quality cab that's easy to move around and........it's a Mesa.

For my purposes, it's exactly what I wanted; a great sounding, closed back light cab for a heavy rock chunk. I was looking for EVH's sound on Fair Warning and I by running my Groove Tube S45 Head loaded with
6CA7's (Amazing Tubes) into this little monster, I easily have my tone. I would buy it again and compared it to all other 1x12 closed back cabs and it was far away the best cab for the money. Just a great, great litler cab!!!!

All black cabinet with black recessed handles(I have 2), leather type covering and rubber feet. It houses one 90-watt Celestion wired to 8ohms and has a dual metal jack plate for daisy chaining. It is truly built like a tank and is stackable with other 1x12 Recto cabs. Very stury and well built. No ports, just raw tone as it is 14" deep.

I basically have had these for 6-7 years now and they are just finally sounding broken in. Neither good or bad, just my observation. I play in stereo by using my Soldano SLO-100 and THD-Hotplate & running the line out on the SLO to my Eventide H-3000 DSE and Lexicon MPX1 and going to my VHT 2/50/2 power amp. From there, it goes left & right to my Mesa's......A very nice setup I might add. The speakers project alot of tight bass, strong mids and high mids. If I run my SLO too high in volume, it feeds back a little but I guess that is with all 1x12 cabs. The speakers are truly good clean speakers and need some time to break in but overall, they compliment the Mesa cab and with a 90-watt raing, they are very efficient as well.....something needed when running high end effects.

Bulit like a tank. For the money, it was well worth it. ($249/each)
NEVER had ANY problems with it and it has been gigged, bumoed around, stacked...you name it. Cosmetically, it still looks new so I know they did a great job of making these cabs.

Quite honetly, I never really had to use them or call them. I think I may have called them once in 6-7 years....never had any issues so why call.

Playing for 22 years. Yes, I would get another Mesa 1x12 or Bogner. I love the versatility, portability and reliability most.
I never compared it to the Bogner 1x12 which is the only thing in its class.
I wish they treated the speakers so they would break in easier/faster.(THD does this to their speakers in their 2x12)

This is a 2001 closed back version with a celestion 30. Cabinet is built to last. I use it with a 1X12 Mesa Rectoverb 50. Its a very nice combination having the open back amp and the closed back external cabinet. The open back is a bit boomier and looser while the closed back is tighter on the bottom frequency. I run them at 4 ohms.

I use a 57 and 62 reissue Strats and 52 and 62 reissue Teles. I played through a Mark II B since 1980 and bought the recto in 2001. Much tighter sound. I can get any sound im after pretty much with a ample time to tweak it. The little cabinet has a very BIG sound.

Ive never had problems with Mesa gear. As I said Ive used it since 1980. Ive taken it around the world on USO shows without any problems. Mind you Ive always bought road cases for my gear. So I have the amp and external cabinet in unitec cases. Its a smart investment.

Ive been playing for 32 years. Ive been very satisfied with Mesa gear and customer relations . Thier gear is made to last. They dont cut corners. I would buy the same gear if it were stolen or maybe upgrade to a Mesa Road King

Sounds great! Much better than an open back combo sound if you need that 4X12 chunk. Not as deep sounding as a 4X12, but not bad for the size! An easy trade off for me, since it was THAT close.
A little harsh in the extreme upper mids or the lower treble, but not too bad. Just enough that it can't get a "10" from me.

I can't give it a 10. I think a 9 is something to be proud of. It's slightly harsh at times in the upper register, but it does the high gain stuff just like a 4X12. It has amazing lows for it's size. I never apologize or feel embarassed setting my 1X12 next to a marshall 1/2 stack. It keeps up JUST fine, and I've blown my fair share away. And, it saves my back!

This little cabinet sounds...unbelievable. I have a 4x12 recto cab that pretty much stays where it's at. I run a Triple Rectifier Solo head, and I was looking for a cabinet that would give comparable tone but could be transported with one hand...found it. It's just like cutting out one of the bottom corners of the half-stack and taking it with you.

This cabinet is almost identical to the reto 4x12's construction. It is 12 inches deep (compared to the 4x12's 14), and 18.5 wide which is exactly half of the 4x12's width. It is very solid. I plan to deploy to the Persian Gulf and take this little bastard with me on the ship...so we'll see how it lasts.

I've been playing for 7 years. I love how solid the cabinet feels and sounds. It truely lives up to the Mesa/Boogie look and sound. My only complaint is not with the product, but the availability of M/B equipment. I wish more stores would carry Boogie. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a mini-version of their half stack's sound.

Just Bought built 2001. 1x12 cab closed back celestion vintage 30. Leatherette covering. Smart compact looker. Pretty deep though arond 15 inches. The cool thing about this cab is that you can parallel out of it into another - a great feature which few other manufacturers offer.

I am using this with a PRS CE24 and a Marshall JMP-1 and JFX-1 with a Boogie 20/20. Still awaiting a second cab which is on order - can't wait. The cab sounds great. Good full range response strum that open E mate and you are in there!!!! Great bottom end for such a small cab. I replaced a 1960A 4x12 Marshall cab with this order and am sure when I get the second cab it will be a better , bigger sound and tonal response. It loves being turned up.
I play anything from Van Halen to Metallica Clapton to Moore - this cab loves it. The rig I have though is the bollox!!!!

Don't know. Bought on reputation as well as being the only cab with one vintage 30 in it that I could find. Still it's a boogie

Been playing for 13 years and have had lots of gear. Always been looking for THAT sound (Who hasn't) As I said I own a JMP-1 which is the best all round preamp - better than the triaxis and a third of the price. This set up with a boogie 20/20 power amp is going to kick ass. The power amp is better than the Marshall 20/20 as it has a sweeter response. I feel I could play for ABBA or Napalm Death and get a sound that will fill in. Who know's maybe I 'll do a thrash cover of Waterloo!!!!!!
