Made in 95? Definitely for metal lovers from Slayer to Korn. 4 rack spaces with 200 Watts per channel, A and B with seperate volume and Presence. Uses 12 6L6 and 3 12ax7 tubes. Smart power allows Deep, Modern, and Half power switching via foot peddal or through triaxis preamp. 4,8, and 16 ohm outputs. No extra distorion pedals needed to get the crunch you desire, as long as you have a good preamp. Switches built in for changing smart power features would be nice.(I thought they came with them based on the picture in the mesa catolog, false advertising?)

I use Ibanez Jem and Universe with Evolution and Blaze pickups. The evolution works awesome with any good amp giving it the ultimate crunch. I love metal and I love Mesa sound. I play anything from Korn to Steve Vai, and it sounds awesome. The clean stays clear at high volumes, and the distortion has very little noise depending on your preamp. This amp will rip most power amps, as Mesa says, It's the king of crunch!

Mesa gear is built to last. This thing is a four space tank, and I have no backup needed. Never needed service.

I recommend this stereo power amp to any one who is looking for the loudest heavy metal sound. I have had it for six months and I would like to add a triaxis to it to enable smart power switching and replace my ADA MP1 for now. Of course Mesa products are expensive, but they hold a high resale value.
