This is a vertical, slant cabinet containing 2 12" Celestion Vintage 30 speakers. One 8 Ohm input on the back. It is a closed back cabinet but you can always customize it to suit your needs! The cabinet is mounted with removable wheels underneath. My system is: Groove Tubes Trio preamp, TC Electronic G-force effects processor, and a Mesa/Boogie 50/50 poweramp. I'm using 2 of these babies. Mine have the Mesa/Boogie logo and not the MESA engineering logo.

I used to use a Marshall 1922 cabinet, and I must say that I was blown away by the sound of this cabinet. I can now hear what my system REALLY sounds like. It has opened up. I'm using a PRS CE3(discontinued but same as CE 24). Sounds awesome.

Well I've just bought them. They are extremely well built and have an overall feel of good craftsmanship. The plastic handles on my old Marshall 1922 cabinet used to vibrate and "fart" at higher volume levels. The Dual Caliber has metal handles and they sit tight and cannot imagine it will ever be problem.

I don't know! I have contacted Mesa previously with questions concerning my 50/50 poweramp and they responded quickly.

I've been playing for 15 years. I use a PRS guitar through the following: George Dennis wah+, Ross compressor, Groove Tubes Trio, TC G-force,Mesa/Boogie 50/50 poweramp. I like the setup. I have plans of getting 2 Oberheim(Gibson)Echoplex Digital Pro's and put them after the G-force. I'm even thinking about selling the G-force and getting an Access Virus rack instead! I love this cabinet although I can only compare it with the Marshall 1922. If it was stolen I would definetely get another.

This amp cabinet is a 98'. It is vertical/slant style with 2 Celestion vintage 30 speakers rated both at 140 watts together. This thing is built like a tank. I am probably going to call it "the tank" because it weighs over 80 pounds. The amp is 8ohm and comes with 4 casters that are the best working casters I have ever had. The casters glide so smoothly. The amp is black with the Mesa/Boogie logo real big in the middle of the grille. Even though the cabinet is pretty heavy, it is still not that hard to carry cause it does have handles.

This cab I say is one of the best 2X12 cabs I have ever heard. It has such a thick walled and heavy sound to it. I am using a mesa head with ESP and Ibanez guitars. With the mesa heads the amp gives a real nice rock sound to it, whether it be a clean tone or a dirt tone. I turn my head up all the way and the cab does not fart out. It keeps on rocking. This cab also can give a nice blues/clean sound to it.

Reliability : No Opinion
This is the second thing I own from Mesa. They have a reputation for having good reliability. I have only had this thing for a couple of weeks. So I can't really say anything about this. I am pretty sure I would use this without a backup at a gig.

I have dealt with the company over the phone and they were very nice. Mesa puts 1 year warranty's on the products and sometimes will go out of the 1 year warranty's. This guy I know has a Dc-10 and during a show his tubes burned out and it was a little over a year since he got it so the warranty's had expired. Mesa was so nice they gave him a whole set of new tubes. So I really like the support of Mesa.

I have been playing for over 3 years now. I don't own any other amps but I love mesa now, I am a huge mesa fan. If this was lost or stolen I would probably go with the older cousin the Recto 4X12 because its bigger and louder plus, I think Mesa discontinued the Dual Caliber cab. So I might have no choice. I love the sound it gets out of this thing and I love the way its built. As of now I have no regrets. I compared it to the Mesa recto 2X12 and the recto sounded good, but I hated the horizontal style. I wish the recto was vertical. I also compared it to the Marshall 2x12 and I did not really like the sound of that. I really wanted a Mesa 4X12 recto, but those are 769 dollars and weigh 122 pounds. So maybe some other time. Overall, this cab kicks a lot of a$$. If you wanted the look and the sound of a nice cab that is not very expensive, this cab is for you.
