Basic ,but very usefull ,and toneful controls.I am sure you know all the specs.BUT they do work very well. Will cover all music palets. It does not have the hi/lo/clean gain trim, but after trying 3 that did mine sounds way toneier, and i mean ALOT BETTER.

Very good cleans .tight powerfull bottom end.sounds like a 4x12 cabinet. The only combo amp to this ,and i have tried them all.Yes it is very quiet,.just adjusting the volume knob dials up alot of sounds.you only need to run the master at 9 or 10 ,oclock.that is the sweetspot.

Purchased from the Guitar Center August 2009. I give it high marks for features because it has the most important features a working/gigging musician needs. Three great channels, simple shared EQ, FX loop, slave out, ability to use 6L6s (factory supplied) or EL34s, footswitch, and most importantly GREAT TONE.

Compared to the cream of my current crop...Bogner Shiva, Stu-Daddy Marshall JTM45 clone (hand wired), my old favorite Sovtek MIG100...this amp WAILS. It is next to impossible to find a channel switcher that doesn't compromise on tone. usually one channel will sound amazing and the other sucks. The Bogner Shiva was the first amp I owned where both channels were stellar. This amp is every bit as good or better. The clean is full, rich & punchy. The crunch is tight, bold & powerful. The third setting is a little hotter than the crunch...perfect for solos. Now this amp doesn't get Soldano/Budda/Deizel high gain sounds, but for the working musician...it'll take you from the 50s to the 90s with NO PROBLEM. The only thing I did to improve upon this great amp was to switch out the 6L6s for EL34s and put in a Celestion G12T-100 speaker.

Had a minor problem (turned out to be a bad tube). Returned my call within hours...was quite polite and helpful (if somewhat non-committal).

Once again, for a musician who needs great clean and crunch tones in a small, simple package...this amp delivers. Among my favorite amps I've owned a Marshall JMP, a Mesa/Boogie Dual and Triple Rectifier, a Fender '59 Tweed Bassman Reissue, a Bogner Shiva, a Budda Superdrive 45 mkII, a Sovtek MIG100 and many others I can't even remember. This amp stands neck-and-neck with the best I've played.

2009 model. This is a pretty versatile amplifier for the anyone liking classic tones. It has three channels, sort of. The concept is that they put three foot switchable gain stages in this beauty and if and only if you play at a certain volume and gain you can switch between the three and the stages will be even. I haven't spent enough time where I could blast away and find this sweet spot yet (apartment living). All three channels do sound great though and at the 4 different gigs I have used the amp at the clean channel with good quality pedals was great. This is a 6L6 based amp with a 45/90 watt switch, nice reverb and plenty of power but she breaks up marvelous when the gain is past mid point for classic rock, country ,jazz purposes.

I've been using this amp with a couple of teles- overwound single coil bridge w/humbucker neck and a fender noiseless, and an sg. This amp has been a dream for me in the tone department. It's got a bright enough top and a full bottom end. I did the old drop the low e down an octave at last nights gig and she was full and loud all the way to the bottom. I guess this amp is really a great one for someone who likes warm (not what frequencies missing here amps ,like the Fender, Marshall, e.t.c. amps I've used in the past). I wouldn't say the reverb is perfect for me but it's very useable and I just leave it on a bit to keep things a little fuller. It's got a great range of low to mid gain distortion but I don't think she's a death or heavy metal amp really. Having said that the amp has enough power and clarity that if you use pedals in front I think you'll be pretty happy doing some heavy stuff with it.

I'm pretty certain this amp will be very reliable. She's very well made and I'll take reasonable care of her. Too soon to tell but since this isn't one of Mesa's more over engineered products I'm hopeful and somewhat confident I won't need to start bringing my other amp as a backup. Little tip though: I've had amps go south during gigs in the past and rather than drag a another amp everywhere if you have a processor ( even a me50) with you you can always run it through the monitors for the night and avoid having a complete disaster).

Never dealt with Mesa but the warranty seems solid and not worried.

I've been playing for 30 + years. Started as a young rocker and wound up touring for ten years solid doing the country /classic rock thing in the 90's. My backup amp is a Genz Benz BP30 with a Mesa 2 X12 cab. I use a custom shop tele, noiseless tele,SG etc as my main guitars. I love this amp! I wanted a big warm clean with a master volume and the ability to get higher gain channels for rock and this has been a dream. For classic country it's a little too full and heavy metal it's not a 4 X 12 but it's the best compromise I've found. I hope to get the opportunity to blast away and find this magic volume/gain that Boogie says will make the switching useful but she's just amazing as is. Every gig I've used it on has me finding more great tones.
