This amp was made in 2003. It has all of your features you need, nothing you don't. 2 channels, 3 modes, effects loop, headphones, 100 watts which can be switched to 60 which is one of the most useful features of this amp. This way you can get a bright and bouncy sound or TURN IT UP and get a thicker and darker sound. It has 4 6L6 tubes, to get a nice beefy sound. It's a stripped down amp, but it makes it that much easy to find the "ultimate" tone.

I use a Fender Strat with a Duncan Parallel Axis Trembucker and a JB Jr. in the neck. The head runs through a Mesa Recto-Standard 4x12 cab. Although this amp is expensive, you get your money's worth. It sounds more like a vintage Boogie with a lote more bite and kick. I compared it to a Dual Rectifer, and this pretty much blew it out of the water. It almost has a 3rd dimension of sound added to it that Rec's lack. I play alot of punk, old metal, classic rock, emo, hard rock, and THIS AMP DELIVERS! You can get a nice warm blues tone or go all the way to the other side of the spectrum and get the Metallica crunch. I love the reverb on it, i add it to the dirty channel and I can get that warm, old EVH tone. This is the most versatile head I've ever played out of, and it's for anyone who loves warm tone and fiery distortion.

Built like a tank. It's a Mesa, what can i say? However I've only had it for 2 months. But it can still stand the abuse I give it.

I've been playing for about 2 years, and this was the step up from the practice amp. Granted, anyone who makes that big of a step up would be amazed by this amp. However, I spent a lot of time at guitar stores testing out equipment and trying to nail the warm sound that I was after. Because this was so simple to use, I bought it. Don't let the simplicity of it fool you. Sounds a lot like a Mark II-C. I absolutely love the warm tube overdriven tone. If it was lost, I would rip the spine out of the person who stole it. But that's what insurance is for. I compared this to a Dual Rec. and a Marshall JCM 2000 TSL. The F-100 had a much fuller sound and an amazing tone.
This is probably one of the last amps you would ever have to buy, so in that case it was worth the money.

I think this amp was made in 2001 but im not sure, all I can say is that this machine is a god-send for me. It is possible to play any sort of musical style out of this amp. It contains three channels that like ad say's do cover a wide spectrum of music. I play ( If you
want to catagorize it stoner/hard rock and this amp gives me the opertunity to jump from jazz to blues to Metallica. The best thing about it is that it is so simple to use you don't have to be an air #1 piolet to use it. So feature wise I give it a ten for just having the needed features in an amp. I use this amp live and gives me enough power to leave the gig feeling happy. This 100 watter almost feels like 120. The only thing I would have added is a pushed channel to get that very early AC/DC style clank like the recto seris has but hey I didn't design the amp did I.

I use a Gibson Les Paul and a Mesa 1/2 open back 4x 12 cabinet that looks like it was made in the yesteryears. As I said before I play hard rock and this and this gives me everything I need. My only use for my Hughs and Kettner Tubefactor is for rehearsals. Now I read some of the reviews of the F-100 combo and there was one guy who thought this thing a pile of hoarse dung. My first question is what kind of fricken sound were you looking for. With my experience with Mesa Amps is that each one is different. You can not expect this amp to sound like a rectifier. I know the ad say's it does but it doesn't
and thats good otherwise I would have bought a rectifier. The lead and contour mode will give you a very unique sounding lead voice and it is all based by what guitar and cabinet you use with it (the oversized rectifier cabinet did it no justice). I use a Les Paul so I had to crank the mid to make up for the beefy tone of the Les. What I came up with was a very personalized lead sound witch for some reason is alway's what I am looking for. It has good orverdrive but folks it
won't make you sound like Korn. Once again if you want that buy a rectifier. The clean sound is very cool too and is amazing how many possibilities are on the clean channel. I can actually get a Vox sound out of it buy crankig the gain and treble. All I can say is that
this amp is everything and then some for what I need as a backline.

Used to own a single rectifier and needed them to help with some questions I had about it. They called back and answered it what more can you ask for. I'll give it a ten.

I like this amp an awfull lot. I have no intentions of buying another
head beacuse I am very happy with this one. I would replace it if something happened to it (knock on wood). I can't compare to other products really because different strokes for different folks, all I can say is that for me this is the best amp I have ever heard for my style of playing. I am curious though what would an esp sound like comeing through this amp laoded with emg 81's hmm.
