Mono 4x12 loaded with Celestion G12H30s, gorgeous tolex and construction. Beautiful 11-ply Birch, strong metal recessed handles, casters, and heavy duty pepper grill cloth that "tames" any shrill frequencies in the classic Marshall sense.
This cab hands down rivals if not exceeds Marshall Handwired (HW) series cabs. The only maker on the market making cabs of this quality and type besides Marshall.

This cab is pure thunder. Celestion G12H30s need to wear in. This cab has the classic tone, break up, grind, and NOT harsh cutting ability that brings Marshalls to life.
I use it with a Framus Dragon, Bogner Shiva, and 73 Marshall Plexi. I have used it with a Rivera KNucklehead. Allows you to own the mix, and the Celestions G12H's instantly give you that CLASSIC tone.
If you want less grain and more of a modern creamy punch, I would X -pattern with V30s. These speakers really sound better and better as they wear in and loosen up. Very punchy. I will critique that these speakers sound best at HIGH volumes.

Great cab. If you don't need the Marshall name tag - you will LOVE this cab.

This is a very well built 4x12 speaker cabinet. From the moment you open the box, you can see that a lot of thinking, good design and execution went on putting this cab together. The black tolex has the small grain found in vintage cabs, with silver piping, and a killer looking grille. A metal, acid-etched brand name plate, and metal handles -not plastic- complete the looks. It has four removable casters as well. As said in a previous review, I love the timeless elegance of these cabs. They look "vintage", but also modern. Finger joined, 11-ply dovetailed wood panels complete a very sturdy cab. Mine is wired as a stereo, no extra charge, twin input cab, 16 Ohms each side. It is loaded with Celestion G12H speakers, IMHO, the best all-around speakers your money can buy for that 60's and 70's sound with tight bottom end and a very balanced sound. The stereo configuration gives me more flexibility: you can hook up a second amp, or use half of the cab for a "dry" signal, and the other half for a "wet" signal. Worthwhile mentioning is the packaging: it is the first time I buy a large cabinet that arrives the same condition it rolled out of the factory. It has specially designed foam inserts, that result in very solid and effective protection for a 100 lb box. I like this a lot, because it tells me these guys are really thinking with quality in mind. IMHO this is important, specially if you use this cab in your studio. Who wants to have a beautiful cab with an ugly tolex tear? I can't remember ever having a Marshall cab that did not have visible tolex dings of some size, courtesy of UPS.

I have had other 4x12 cabs before (Marshalls with V30's, 75's, and Greenbacks), and this one is without a doubt the best one I've had. I like the tight bass you get, along with the tonal balance, without any unpleasant top end (like a V30, IMHO V30's have tight bass but I find them shrill on the top end, and Greenbacks are just a bad case of flatulence at its best when cranked). The construction of the cab and the G12H speakers are a match made in heaven. I currently have a Vox AC-30-HWH hooked up to one side and a Mojave Plexi 45 to the other side. A Framptone amp switcher (great piece of gear) allows me to go between amps. I play a 57 Historic Les Paul with Tom Holmes pup's and a Suhr classic strat, and the cab just sounds very nice with both amps and both guitars. The name of the game here is tonal BALANCE. I actually prefer the sound I get from the AC-30-HWH through half of the cab, than through the 4 speakers. This is also the case when I compare it to running it through a 2x12 with Alnico blues (only for this Vox amp). Although a Vox combo with Alnicos sounds plain awesome- go figure. I find G12H speakers smoother than the Alnicos, and the extra bottom end tightness gives me a killer Vox tone with "thump" in spades. In full 4x12 it enhances the midrange beyond my preference. The Mojave Plexi 45 is just amazing when you use it in either a half of it, or the full 4 speakers (in this case the Plexi sounds better through the 4 speakers, hands down). I am very pleased with this cabinet.

The cab is only 2 months old, but this is not brain surgery guys. You do not have to drop it from the tailgate of a military jet to see if it is built to last. This speaker cab is very well built, and the wiring is very well done as well. The speakers are Celestion. Use it with sound judgement and it will last into the next century.

The guys at Mojave are a very professional outfit. My calls and emails get answered quickly, and they honestly care about your satisfaction as a customer, and it shows. I have bought several things from them, and my experience as a customer has been rewarding as well as consistent (two amps, two cabs, and other accessories).

I have been playing for a lot of years, and have owned quite a bit of gear, particularly in the last 3 years. Call it mid-life G.A.S. crisis (gear acquisition syndrome). Without boring you with a laundry list of more than 40 items, I can summarize my experience with Mojave as very satisfying. The gear I have bought from them is all very well made, with attention to detail and quality in every step. This particular cab is no exeption: is sounds great, it looks great, and is very well built. I would definetly buy it again if I needed another one. I do not think it is cheap, you can get less expensive stuff out there, but in this ocean of gear out there, I don't mind the extra expense if it means it will do the trick and end my search for the perfect speaker cab.
