Mojotone 212 Cabinet

Mojo 2x12 cabinet. This cabinet was made by hand in North Carolina at the Mojo factory. This is a limited run. Cabinet is made from 13 ply Baltic Berch with 1/4 inch joints. Large black handle on top. Rubber feet. Covered in black snakeskin tolex. This is the same tolex used on Gibson cases. Insilde this beautiful cabinet are two Celestion V12-80 Silver Series. About 35lbs. about 1/2 openback with opening in center. Top closed, bottom closed.

Oh yeah.. less than $300 too, which is very nice.

I really like the sound of this bottom. I purchased it because I was playing thru 1x12 which didn't have enough low end. I also have a mesa 2x12 rectifier cab (75lbs) way too much.

This is very nice middle of the road. Light, very good sound.

Reminicent more of a tweed because of the open back, but I find it very versital.

Speakers sound quite good

This is a very good sounding bottom. Probably not what you want for metal, get the mesa 2x12 recto for that.

We will have to see.

Some of the wood on the back (for the 1/2 closing is a bit flimsy)... that's probably ok since it doesn't support anything.

But I know I can't throw this around like some other bottoms... but that was the trade off for 75lbs vs 35lbs... they had to cut wood somewhere.

The tolex looks like it might be thin enough to rip... Time will tell.

The manufacture looks very good, tight, no loose tolex seams. Nice construction.

Order from ebay, came very fast. Hope I don't need their help in the future, but the co has a good reputation.

I have to admit this is a Medium cost bottom, not top notch designer (which I am acustom to purchasing).. but then again, a lower cost... almost as good quality is what we are all looking for correct??

Tone wise this hangs with my Carr (probably better), and mesa (different application)

I've been playing 30+ years.. had lots of stuff. Definitely a 2x12 person. Like the 1/2 open back tweedish tone (normally I love a complete closed back, and marshallesque head).

For value, tone, and weight (I can't carry the heavy crap no more).. this is a very good by.

Ruggedness over time is the only issue.. we'll see.

2003 2x12 Cabinet with excellent dimensions. Versatile enough for any format or gig. Comes standard as a 1x12 with Celestion G12H-80. I ordered it with a Jensen C12N too, as a 2x12 configuration. Mine has a handle on top, amp corners and speaker jack. It is quiet as a button and super solidly built. Incredible for the price paid! Check out the website (mojotone.com). The cabinet is on the first/home page. It has gone up in price in recent months but remains a fablulous deal! I also had the 1x12 w/Celestion version of this cab but my friend liked it so much, he insisted on buying it from me.

I play 60's - 70's rock - Allmans, Clapton, Doobies, etc. I use a homemade SRV Strat, Gibson Les Pauls and a converted '68 Bassman top(for guitar). It sounds terrific for whatever I play. Withstands high sound levels. Rugged exterior. Beautiful construction for the price! Rattles the other stuff in my room.

So far for the past 6 months, very reliable. The cabinet is used only at home but I would not hesitate to gig with it.

Have corresponded many times before and after the purchases with Mojo. They always respond in a timely manner with good information. Pleasant to deal with, helpful, honest and anxious to please. They'll configure the wiring and speakers any way you desire. Cabinets are built to order.

I have been playing for over 20 years. I would definately replace this with the same model if I necessary. I compared it to MANY other cabinets on the market, new and used. What sold me was the dimensions of the cabinet and the price, and later on, the quality. I had been contemplating ordering an Avatar cabinet too, but they don't return emails. I highly recommend the Mojotone for whatever 1x12 or 2x12 configuration you need.
