Mojotone 412 Straight Cabinet

I ordered two of these at the same time. You can order these with any option you like. I bought mine and also bought the caster/wheels set, and wiring kit. I did order a marshall jack plate with the stereo/mono capabilities like comes on the 1960av cabs and several other marshall cabs, and installed it on one of these cabs. For the money even though some effort is required you just can't beat these. The ones I ordered were black with the plexi piping and large check cloth.

These cabs don't give any flub or distress. Solid tones come from my two cabs. But also, it should be noted this category has a ton to do with the speakers installed, and this is not the cabs fault.

Once you load the speakers you choose into the cab and wire it up, seal it back up and it is ready every time.

I did not get the speaker mounting screws in two of the cabs I got of the three. I did get the second one in and it was damaged. Probably shipping. So I got another. The grill cloth on that one was crooked. I know everybody has an off day at work so, I called the dealer for another. None were available at that time, so I played cab tech. I dissassembled both cabs and put the correctly made and covered baffle board with the straight grill cloth in the cab with no external damage and put the remaining faulty stuff together to return for credit. Took me like 4 hrs. That really sucked, but to expedit the situation and have matching cabs without the mojo people volunteering a quick send out, this is my only option. I did call and talk to the guy at mojo and he was nice, but I got the feeling he thought I was just another high maintenance customer, and offered little or no return in kind. I give them a 4 since he did take the call, but when I hung up the phone,I had wasted some more of my time. So in all fairness I could go less than 4 but I am not a vindictive person. JUST A PAYING CUSTOMER THAT DESERVES A PRODUCT IN CORRECT FORM. Anyway according to the school grading scale 4 is say 40 percent, so it's still an F.........But they were nice to me. Lotta good it did me though. LOL.

I have to say that after the build one from two to get a match situation is long over, they the cabs that, is have been a real delight to own and to look at daily. Look just like the old plexi cabs from the late sixties with the grill cloth I chose. I was coming off of 2 and 1/2 months of being jerked around by Korg USA/Marshall inc. due to continually being given bogus and shoddy quality cabs, time after time. I have as a result washed my hands with marshall on their cabs. Marshall quality or lack there of is the whole reason I ran up on these guys. I think despite my bad luck and their lack of helpfullness to my plight, their cabs are worth the money. I have since bought other items them. Just not any cabs, since I am not in the market for more.

Ok I'll try to describe the tone. I gambled and wired up some 8 Ohm Celestion G12L-40's in the cab at 8 ohms. The tone is indescribable. I suppose if you had 4 G12M-65's it would be even better. If you have heard a Bogner Shiva that is really dialed in on the overdrive channel with a bogner 4x12 cab, it is exactly the same tone. The band Injected had this sound on there CD Burn It Black. I've owned every amp imaginable. This is the best 4x12 cabinet I've ever heard. And the best thing is that you can customize it with whatever speaker you choose. I has a very woody sound to it, if that makes sense. I A/B'ed it with a 2x12 loaded with a early 70's greenback and a vintage 30 and the mojotone had the upperhand right away. Just cant get a bad tone to come out of it. The other cabs I've owned have a chirp or a burp at times.

Not familiar with customer support but if you go to their website it looks as though they privide many questions that have been previously asked and seem to be very customer oriented.

I highly recommend this cab to those people who want amazing tone. It may take experimenting with different speaker set ups but I nailed with the first set.
