Not sure when it was made, amp is very versatile and takes pedals well. It doesn't have all the switches and tone shaping like a lot of the newer high gain amps but it doesn't need them. Sounds like an old twin but cleaner..

Sound Quality : 10
Sound amazing for an inexpensive amp. It's like a poor mans fender twin reverb..

Reliability : 10
no problems but it's quite old so I did have it cleaned and tubed. I've used it very many hours since then with no issues or noise..

Customer Support : 10
Never dealt with them on the amp, they were great help with my guitar.

Overall Rating : 10
If you're looking for a great amp that won't break the wallet for gigging, this is it.. I would defintely get it again. Better for country and rock than my Valveking was. I won't take my vintage fender amp out so this is great for me.

This amp was made in like the 70's, i don't know when(my grandparents got it for me with a crap keyboard), but i love the tremelo, have heard good things about the reverb but doesn't seem to work on mine which apears to be a probelam with this amp, i wish it had a little more distortion, but im gonna get a pedal for that, i rarely use the tremelo but when i do it sounds good to me.

Sound Quality : 10
this amp sounds great, i was a little skeptical about using it because i have a line 6 spider 3 75 watt in my bedroom (which i use more than this), which gives me more variety, but the many sounds it gives dont sound quite as good as the overdrive on this. turn all the knobs up with the tone knob and you will imediatly get a woman tone ,which sounds great even on my 06 epi les paul jr.! even if you have a not so great guitar(like me) you can still get a good sound out of it, so i can only imagine what it sounds like through a good guitar!!! it has a little hum to it, but i think that's just my guitar

Reliability : 9
i dont use it that much, but when i do i can rely on it, it can sometimes get annoying to wait on it to warm up but its only for a few seconds, and im used to playing on solid state amos so that's why, but i havnt had it that long, i may get the reverb fixed on it in the near future, but overall i can rely on this thing, im givin it a 9 only because the reverb is broken

Customer Support : No Opinion
havent had any probelems with the amp, so no comment

Overall Rating : 10
overall i like this amp, i also have a line 6 spider 3 75 watt, but the music man really lets your guitar shine through(which is not good if you have a not-so-hot guitar like me), but if you have a good guitar then this is the amp for you, right now i use my line 6 a little more because it kinda covers my bad axe, not that it completely does it, i just dont notice that as much as on the music man, i wish it had like a heavy distortion channel, but thats ok, if someone stole it, i would try to find another 1, but i odubt ill find another one for $30, the clean sounds are good, even though i rarely use them, but i love the overdrive on this, nice and warm

I bought this amp new in the late 70's. It has been around the world.... Not gigging, but the Air force :)
I play 60's and 70's hard rock. The amp has a great clean sound, but you have to have pedals to make it rock.

Not many features, just your basic, but I think most in this era where pretty basic.

Sound Quality : 8
I play a 74 Les Paul and a 03 Stratocaster.

The amp is very clean, not a lot of noise.

Reliability : 10
30 years old and still cranking. I don't think many amps could take the abuse this amp has taken.

My Reverb did stop working years ago, but I didn't use it much, so it was not missed and I didn't try and have it fixed.

It is load, loud, loud. If you use effects, or looking for a clean sound then you can't go wrong with this amp. It is a great value what you can get these for on ebay.

this is a mid 70s 210. 2 channel. reverb(broken alas) big full tremelo, footswitch. an all around pretty basic combo from the era. great warm tube sound. enough power to gig with.

Sound Quality : 9
sounds great nice full round tone. i wish the reverb was up and running. i think i would like it a bit more if it were. i play a wide variety of guitars through this. my 61 silvertone jupiter sounds great through it, nice warm overdrive due to the 60s dearmound pickups. my 64 mustang sounds crystal clear through it, making a great set up for a clean recorded tone. i play plenty of styles of music and this amp works well for all of them. although i wish it would get a bit dirtier, i dont care for pedal tone usualy and try to rely on the amp to get a natural compressed tube overdrive. it is a great clean tone amp though. when i bought it i was playing through a 73 fender twin also and sat down and played the hell out of both to compare what the differences would be in tone. ultimatly i prefered the music man. it had alot less inherent fender trebley twang which drives me buggy.

Reliability : 8
hmm i havnt had it to long but all the shit that worked when i got it still works. ive toted it all over played many shows and its still plugging along.

Customer Support : No Opinion
i wish they would come over and fix my reverb, but i dont think it will happen. ever

Overall Rating : 10
damn solid. sounds good. i cant figure out why they sell for so cheap. the quality of it is great. alot better than many other amps ive played through. id say to anyone who was looking for a mid priced great amp to get it. hell id sell u mine for the right price

Man... this one's from the days when Amps were AMPS. No wonder you always see Slowhand sitting next to one of these.

Nice full 'verb. Great gobs of tremelo. Nice warm (and not muddy) preamp clipping. Very compact. Makes any guitar sound beautiful. Cool looking. Thank God for the factory casters, this sucker weighs like a black hole...

Sound Quality : 10
I'll keep it short. No complaints. Does anything and everything I can ask of it. Those NOS EL34's are sweet. Full or chimey, it does either and doesn't complain.

Did Leo really design this one? Damn...

Reliability : 9
Occasionally those 34's get hot and hum. I just figure it's because they are old. Most of the time it's not a problem... so I rather keep 'em in there. Why retube, if you're happy?

This thing was at least a dozen years old when I bought it. Looked like it had been through hell, a couple wars, and a few tours. Yet it's never given me a day's worth of trouble.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Made in Anaheim. I've gone over there looking for remnants of the factory. It's long gone. Good thing they built this sucker well.

Overall Rating : 10
Now this is what I call an AMP!

Been playing 22 years now. Had this sucker 10, and it's doin' fine. All original equipment. Full power. Will blow a wall down, no prob.

And sweet and full on the low power setting. What more could anyone ask for? Except maybe a kick in the pants, for pawning off this baby...

I'm not exactly sure what year this amp was made. Around mid '70s. I paid $150 for it. It came with 2 vintage JBL alnico speakers that were blown. I sold those for $100 and bought Jensen re issue speakers. After all was said and done I paid $200 total. A STEAL! Typical Music Man hybrid- solid state preamp, tube power amp. 2 channels. Bright switch and deep switch. Think '65 black face Twin Reverb. This amp has big spring reverb and outer limits tremolo. The tremolo on most vintage Fender amps varies only slightly when the "intensity" control knob is turned up. But on this amp, turning up the intensity knob will put you in sci-fi land. The tremolo is very vintage like at lower settings, but if you want something totally wacked out, dime the knob. There is a low power switch that knocks the wattage down to 65 watts. Still loud though. One added feature is that you can plug a 15" speaker cab into the speaker jack and use it as a great bass amp. This particular 210 HD has been modded with an effects loop, which I recommend. Great for recording spring reverb direct since digital "spring" reverb is still a wet dream. Sorry for the bad pun.

Sound Quality : 10
Using Leo Fender's single coil pick ups or Gretsch alnico Filtertrons will get you vintage Fender blackface tone--- think Vibrolux on steroids or compact '65 twin. It's loud enough for any gig. The cabinet is very small, smaller than a Vibrolux. About 17 inches tall and 24 inches wide and 10 inches deep. Compare that to a '65 Super reverb! It has a very thick tube tone, and with the deep switch on , it gets better bass response than a '63 blond bassman. I've sat it next to a '63 Bassman. Better bass. And a helluva lot cheaper. I play rockabilly, surf, ska and roots rock. For me this amp makes the perfect gig amp because it is small and loud enough, it has pop out casters, and has a footswitch for the tremolo and reverb. It's also great for a home studio because of the effects loop mod and again the small size. I use a Danelectro Daddy-O overdrive for distorted tone since this amp is very clean. I also use the Dan-echo and cool cat chorus. It does not sound too good with any of the new amp modeling type effects units though.

Reliability : 10
I never gig without backup, but Music Man amps are known for being more solid than Fender amps. The cabinets have steel corners all the way around. Very beefy hardware. It's a tank. Put it this way, Leo Fender designed the Fender amps of the '50s and '60s, then he improved Music Man amps in SOME aspects in the '70s. Simple enough. Finding info on these amps can be tough. I have tried to find anything I can. If anyone has any info please let me know.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Like Leo, there is no Music Man amp company anymore. Very sad. The current Fender Co. is sorely lacking in their customer service department. So compared to Fender, Music Man ain't bad. And with the current downward trend at Fender, these vintage Music Man amps are a great secret.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing guitar for 28 years. I have been studying Leo Fender's work closely for about 5 years now. I have had intimate relations with a lot of different vintage Fender tube amps (pretty picture huh?). After all this time I have settled on a vintage Princeton reverb and this Music Man HD210 130. I don't have the money to own them all. The deals you can find on this amp are usually well below what they are worth, and well below what you could buy some comparable current Fender amp for. With Fender heading south, Music Man vintage amps are an amazingly better alternative. Other Music Man devotees are yelling at me, " Thanks for letting the secret out @$$****!" Just trying to help.
