This is a bare bones amp that features two instrument inputs and a volume knob. I have a lay out of the tubes somewhere, but they are so unusual, that it is pointless to label them. I believe the amp was made in the late 40's or early 50's. It has an 10" original rola speaker that sounds bright.

I bought this amp over ebay from some guy who was using it as a harmonica amp. He said he had bought it from Aspen Pittman, who was a critic of vintage tube amps. The amp sounds amazingly clean until turned about half way up--after that--it's rich warm distortion. The other thing I enjoy about the Supreme is how well it voices the individual instruments played throught it. A Jazzmaster and a Les Paul are all you would need to re-capture the variety of tones heard during the birth of Rock and Roll.

I've driven around with this thing and never had any problems. It was serviced a bit before I purchased it, but the tubes are re-placeable and that's a good thing.

Stick with the vintage shit if you want to have your own sound. You can't go wrong with any amp made before 1970, especially if it's something nobody has ever heard of. I'm building a wall consisting of 8 or 9 amps that nobody sees all that often, all linked together with a Kendrick splitter box. Hopefully, I can get a little bit closer to the ultimate tone. The Oahu Supreme plays an important role in the ultimate sound because of it's unusual 10 speaker and it's unique tube circutry. Please buy one of these things if you ever get the chance, you will never regret your decision.
