I researched for 4 weeks on the web from Calif to Nashville for an experienced tech to tweak my bandmaster high gain mod and add an active buffered effects loop. Jim Price at Omega Amps had the best on all fronts hands down.

Jim gave me 3 options for effects loops and control layouts - much more than I expected after he reverse engineered the amp on day 2. I got a full rundown on his mod before doing the work to make sure it was what I wanted. He went beyond my expectations by checking out the status of leaking caps, parts on the way out, with a burn in/stress test after the job was done. All in all I got 20 emails in 10 days which was great to learn about the job, the amp, questions, options, and some email pictures from Jim.
Before he shipped it back he called me up and demo'd the mod tweaks and effects loop on both channels over the phone.

Very quick turnaround, 10 days, great pack job, old parts returned, tubes packed separately, the work and hand point wiring were excellent quality. An outdoor gig for 300 people 2 days later with the amp was excellent and the amp got a ton of compliments.
The amp is very quiet on both clean and high gain channels, with a great active effects loop, send & return controls, and front mix level knob, and sounds absolutely excellent.

Besides great communication, I found a home for buying my next amp (Omega amp), a great guy and fellow guitarist, and for somebody who has a number of big "name" artists, he treated me like I was his only client.
Great experience. Exceeded my expectations. No question.

I'm 45 & have been a working musician every year since 1976 from clubs to festivals. The combination of good vibe, mod talent and amp expertise, was a pleasure to do business with. The Omega amp will be my next target for an amp purchase.
If I get on a major tour deal again someday this is who I'm hiring.
