I have TWO D' mods by Omega, a 50 watt traynor 2xel34 and its lil' bro a 20 watt traynor 2xel84. exceptionally versatile 2 channel HRM style (I can get the monkey to DANCE with these things!) channel switching, PAB boost, Mid boost (all footswitchable)built in FX loop with send - return and BLEND! pots (the loop can serve as a pre master -master to really allow exploration. It can dial in a LOT of different tones!

Sound Quality : 10
I, like apparently a million other guys, was(?) looking for the end all D' style amp. I've played and listened to so many (FE I've had 5 Fuchs at one time or another - still own 3... Andy rocks - great stuff regardless) of the D'stylers but nothing that didn't have the punch. uff, balls, whatever... that I was looking for in D' styler. I'm not sure what Jim does to get there but his amps have that "body" in the tone that I really have been searching for. It takes a bit of volume to really make it sing but not what a true D requires if I understand it correctly. You need to work with it but you WILL get to where you're going. speakers and guitar matter ALOT. This aint a one sound for all pony, it will produce what you ask.

I've been playing for 35 years - mostly Christian rock - stylistically anything contemporary (no country or metal) these amps get my MUSE on!

I have a variety of guitars in my stable including Anderson, Mike Lull, Zion, Gustavvson, and a variety of others. I use a variety of effects sparingly - Omegas handle stuff as an input quite well. I'm a REALLY big delay guy (I think I have 10 or 11 various units) and the OMega FX loop SMOKES!

Clean is very very nicely voiced but I'm an OD guy and these amps have it!

BTW I've had these for at least a year now (just got the lil' 20 back after a re-fit) so this isn'r a "looky what I just got!" review.

Reliability : 10
Jim is a master electrician and knows his stuff - These amps are PTP and built exceptionally well.

No problems on my end. The only reason they go back to Jim is the man is an ABSOLUTE freak when it comes to tone (believe me - thats a really good thing) and he's always trying a little tweak and wants me to have it.

Customer Support : 10
Jim Price IS THE MAN! This is as good of customer support as I've ever seen!

Overall Rating : 10
First off - I paid for my gear, I'm not a shill and would not write a review of this chartacter without meaning it.

For me, the Omega HRM - D' style is the amp that nails that elusive vibe. There may be other amps out there that do it as well but of all the ones I've heard THIS IS IT!

Email me if you'd like. Jims work needs to be lauded.
