I bought this amp new from a retail outlet in 2009. From sweet blues tones to an incredibly impressive high gain. Clean tones are nice but no real volume can be achieved without breakup. It would be great if it had a simple footswitch that could switch between clean(er) and gain but with a simple single channel amp I guess not possible. This combo has the Celestion Anniversaty edition 12" speaker which sounds awesome. I use this amp as a traveller to jam at mates places (not with drums). This way I don't have to lug around my bigger amps for relatively low volume jamming.

I have tried many types of guitars from humbuckers to single coils ??ll 3 major scale lenths through this amp. Best suited to twin bucker builds and for me 24.75" scale is best. Distortion is IMPRESSIVE. I also have a MESA 5:50 and a Fender HRDeville2x12 and the gain to me is in the same league as the Mesa.....I love the gain, it's wicked as.

This amp has broken down twice now in the 10 weeks since I bought it. First time around would turn on and the light would come on but the 7watt to 15watt switch did nothing. So it then took 4 weeks for the warranty process to replace the tubes with a new set as one had let go. The fuse had also gone. Finally got it back and played it I reckon 3 times for 30 mins a time in 3 weeks.....then went to play it Friday night and guess what.....doesn't turn on at all! I assume the fuse has blown again....very annoyed. I have had many valve amps over many years and this is the worst run I have had. Bummer!

See above great amp, I just wish it was more reliable.....I don't trust it and will probably sell it and go for a Vox Night Train with a Cab or maybe a Laney I'll try........maybe go back to another Marshall dunno......disappointed.

single channel, switchable power 7-15W and standby, volume, gain and tone controls. g12h-30W anniversary special celestion speaker installed (stock). 16 ohms and parallel 8 ohm speaker outs are a nice option, for a total of 1x16 ohm, 2x16 ohm or 1x8 ohm configurations. at first it may seem a little tricky but with some work you can get the right tone and power level; i had this thing running side by side with a 50W class AB amp and it was hangin' tough at studio/small gig volume level.

i play a fusion of styles, have tested this with a humbucker-loaded strat (duncan lil 59), epiphone les paul studio with classic 57+ installed, also a gibson joan jett model (burstbucker#3 in the bridge). with a boss me-50 the response distorted is kind of generic, definitely prefers vintage type distortion, but responds better to boss compact effects like an od-3 overdrive or an md-2 mega distortion. 15W setting seems to get the best bang but i would guess 7W is better at bedroom levels. the biggest issue i have with this amp- straight plugged in, or otherwise- is the manufacturer choice of speaker. not sure what style they are aiming for, but for rock/hard rock i think it utterly fails. but get this- i tried it with a vintage 30/greenback cab, and with the vin30 in particular, THIS AMP COMES ALIVE. absolutely blew away the stock g12h in every arena with the diff. guitars. so i replaced it and now i'm totally thrilled. i'll give it a 5 with the stock speaker tho.

on it's own the amp barely competes with the rocker 30, which i thought sucked until you install 2xEH6ac7 tubes and an eminence tonker (think classic lead)- but like i said it's at a good price if you got a used 16 ohm vin30 speaker laying around you'll be thrilled at the response once installed- then this thing blows the rocker 30 away. again i recommend compact or vintage style effects to get the best output, a good speaker and pickup choice helps. for only 100.00 over the head, getting a cab and speaker built in is a nice touch. and the g12h30 does sound awesome with a lot of other amps if you don't overpower it. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND INSTALL A VIN30 IN THIS AMP, THEN IT WILL RULE. shankya.

Switchable 7 or 15 watts, standby, volume, tone, gain, 1x12 speaker, no line out, no effects loop - all in a relatively small footprint

With the gain past 6 o'clock you get terrible hum through the speaker. It was not the power source, as I had a Fender Woody Pro Junior plugged into the same source that was whisper quiet.
There's plenty of dirty headroom; not so much with the clean. Distortion is fairly harsh and the gain knob a bit too sensitive for my taste. Next to it the Fender sounded beautifully creamy. At about half the volume of my Mesa Road King, it would seem to work for gigging small venues, but definitely too loud for apartment use (like all of amps in this wattage range) unless you dial down the master volume. I won't elaborate further as I only played it for a half-hour.

For the price you can do better, unless you are married to the Orange sound. I'm not a gear snob; I use what works and sounds good, regardless of what it looks like or the name on it. All of Orange's stuff is hideously packaged, but I guess the brand-conscious out there will like that. My vibe is generally classic rock, and I own a Tele set up for slide, 2 Les Pauls, acoustic-electrics, etc. Been playing for many years, through everything inside and outside the box including DI's, floor processors, keyboard amps, solid state, tubes, etc. I would've rated it higher but I felt that the value wasn't there. Price tag should be $200-300 less.

Well after reading many reviews to find out about equipment I thought I better let the general public in on my tiny terror combo experience. This amp is a 2008 model. They seem to just be coming onto market. It has basic features, volume, tone which is treble/bass on one knob and gain. I'm fine with it the way it is doesn't really need anything else. Power switch from 15 to 7 watts, class A power so it can actually play quite loud. Tubes 2xEL84, 2x12ax7. Speaker celestian G12H-30, 70th anniversary speaker, so they say whoohoo.

I really enjoy the sound. Jimmy Pageish. If you can call it that. The clean doesn't have much head room, by myself it's fine, playing with a band I could see the need for more volume on the clean setting. Nice warm sound though. The gain sounds great. Break up is gradual and a nice warm sound. You can play the amp at a good volume in this setting. Volume and gain cranked, you could play with band but you get the one sound. I play mostly in my home studio so it doesn't really matter to me. I find the clean and distortion all useable.

Okay so here's where I wanted to let the general public in on my experience. I played it for about a month. Not drastically and not everyday but regularly. One day I turn it on and it has no sound then it makes this weird static type sound, KAAA KOOOOOH SHHHHHH SHEEEEEEE I don't know it was weird. Then it would start up then stop then start. I thought it could be the tubes but if it's brand new this shouldn't be the case. I took it back to the local music store. They looked at it and said it wasn't the tubes. The music store was cool about it and replaced it right away except that since the combos are so new they are selling out of them right away and I would have to wait for the next shipment. A long month later I receive the new one. I have now had it for about 2 weeks. Will it survive? Who knows.
Once something like this happens, you have a tough time trusting that the product will be reliable again and work when you need it. Particularly since it was working fine the day before and all of a sudden, no warning signs, nothing, it just stopped working.

Don't know about Orange support. My music store was great though and I have extra insurance of course particularly since this happened. It comes with one year warranty and I bought an extra year.

I had the option of changing amps when the first one died but I must admit after playing a few different ones I still wanted that warm orange sound. I do have a fender amp for my clean sounds because the orange is just not that type of clean but for what it does I love it. Don't know if it would be my only amp at show though.

This is the combo version of the Tiny Terror head. Essentially the same head - 15 watts with a half power setting, one channel with only a volume, tone and gain control. Compact package with a 12" Celstian G12H-30 speaker
I've only had it about a week and haven't fully run it through all the paces. I was concerned about the versatilty of this amp. I just finished my first practice with the band, and I'm really happy with the range of sounds. Tubes clean up nicely when you roll back the guitar volume. Clean on this amp is definitely not Fender clean but sounds great for blues, classic rock, etc.

I'm playing a PRS Custom 22 through the TT. The amp is very quiet with the humbuckers. There is only one channel, but what a great range of sounds available. The tone with modest gain is great for my purposes. Cranking the gain gave me Johnny Ramone crunch on rythym. My PRS has the 5-way selctor for pickups, and each setting sounded very distinctly different than the other. Even with the gain up, the amp is very articulate. You can identify indiviual strings in chords. Solo tones are also outstanding. This is a very musical amp and I think I've only begun to tap into part of it's potential.

I migrated from a Line 6, and there is no comparison in tone. This amp is simple to dial up, and I haven't found a bad setting yet. The last tube amp I owned was a Fender Twin, and this amp suits my ears a lot better.
I might miss a loud clean channel at some point, but the positives outweigh this void.
There is plenty of volume/headroom to play a small club, or practice.
I think this amp represents a really good value. Boutique sounds at a fair price.
