15 watts(?) into 2 8"speakers. It is a stereo solid state. It was 2 gain knobs & 3 band eq. It has built in reverb & chorus. I play a wide range of music from thrash metal, to classic rock, to alternative. I mainly play alternative (Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, Goo Goo Dolls, ect.). The amp is good for any sort of heavy rock, but realy doesn't excell @ any particular genre. It has a CD input (never used), a headphone output, & stereo outputs to a speaker cabinate. I wish it had more than one channel & an FX loop. I have only used it in my bedroom.

I have a Fender Am Strat (sss). The amp can be noisy on higher gain settings. They bass is too loud. Often I have the bass knob @ 0 & everything else @ 6+. It sounds pretty good clean (for an ultimate clean sound for recording, record from the headphone out). Distortion is good but bassy. The distortion isn't that distorted until both gain knobs are @ 10. The amps suistain is terrible. It cuts out before the note completely dies (& i've checked it is the amp).

Never taken it anywhere but my friends house. Thing seems like its built strong. It also has the Marshall name on it so they must have some quality control.

I have been playing for a year & own a few pedals (Ibanez distortion, crybaby). If it was lost I would get a better amp. I like the versatilty & volume (this thing is as loud as my friends 50w amp). It needs less bass and a better eq (i.e. one that does something). It's good for a pratice amp, but i plan to buy something better.

Regarding pricing first - I bought it in Moscow, so the price must be higher than US street price. This is a "Park" series combo, but with a Marshall logo on front, ensuring that it's up to Marshall quality standarts. It's a solid state 15 watt amp with 2 8" speakers. It has one channel plus CD-player input on the front (CD input is totally independent from amp controls)and two line out jacks (L/R) and a headphone jack on the back. The amp has built-in reverb and chorus. Chorus has speed and depth controls and on/off switch. The gain control is split in 2 - Gain 1 and Gain 2, tone controls are Bass, Treble and Contour. A lot of possibilities but you have to turn the knobs every once you want a different sound. That's why I rate versality by 8 otherwise it could worth 10.
I purchased this amp for home practicing after my old combo died. 15 Watt is enough for my room, and features are enough to try different ideas.

My guitar is a - poplar bolt-on neck beast with Di'Marzio Dual Sound and Evolution humbuckers. The key feature of my axe is a very resonant and deep low end so I can even imitate a bass (open 6th string sustains for 25 sec -not bad for bolt-on). I play mostly in heavier styles and occasionaly some blues or ballady suff. Twin gain gives a variety of distortion souns from slight bluesy ovedrdrive to AC/DC sound to signature Marshall crunch. For black/death sound you should use pedal, but for leads this distortion is perfect. Reverb ain't that deep - it becomes really audible at 12 o'clock, but shit, I' ain't a surf guitar player. Chorus doesn't go to extremes but you get all the scale form slight overdub effect to certain shimmer. The combination of max Peverb and max Chorus gives amazing almost flanging effect - tapping sound gets some synth quality. Reverb and Chorus give you a variety of clean sounds. My axe ain't that good at clean due to material, pickups and purpose, but these options make it sound pretty good.
No problems with noise, except one - if you got bad grounding strong Rever can produce high-pitch note from subtle noise, coming from power lines. But at mid reverb no problems occured.

Perfect for this category. Maybe not that good for live performance, cos it's difficult to use all its features live but great for home practicing, or maybe some low-budget demo recording. If I'd loose it I'd buy something better from Marshall cos this amp gives a good taste of what Marshall hi-end can if a low-budget model suggests such a value.
