Park G25R

Mine has a date stamp on the reverb tank of 1994. Two channels, EQ shared by both. Spring reverb! Can use a footswitch to change channels. Pretty loud as it is stock.

I use it with a strat and the clean channel is very good, not as sparkley as a Fender amp but very good. The overdrive is actually very usable and can be controled by a footswitch. The reverb is nice to have and gives it a large amp sound. Headphone output sounds pretty bad. Speaker is kinda bassy sounding so I turn down the bass control and it sounds fine. Cabinet is big enough you could put a 12 inch speaker in it if you wanted to.

Very reliable. Mine is all original and even the controls are not staticy sounding when turning them. No service needed in 15 years.

a great sounding amp that can be found cheap since it says Park on it. But its still built just like a Marshall.

Well this is to add to my review 3yrs ago.The amp is still going strong.
Another thing I hadn't noticed is the clean volume effects the tone of the lead channle on this thing.I allways ran my clean volume to match my lead volume but I just noticed that if you tweak it ever so slightly it actually can make the lead channels mid forwardness a little harsh or muddy if off but just right its smooth as any tube Marshall.try your clean at about 8 and lead volume around 6(these are my sweet spots)then tweak ever so slightly and really listen.This amp has very toucky sweet spots on the gain/volume/cln vol.The amp isn't going to do metal but for classic rock listen for the point were the amp sustains then tweak and all of a sudden the clarity you(used too)only get with tubes pops out.
Tweak these knobs very slightly at a time and you can get this thing sounding good enough to fool allot of the tube die hards.
Its slightly bassy with the stock 10" but I think the speaker is a scooped design.I tried it through a single V30 in the same type cab and Boy it sound good(and I had V30s)I can't imagine with a G12M.
I've still got to say.I've had several Marshalls, Silver Jubilee/SL-X/JCM 800 2204 and 2203/Artist hybrid/AVT 20 and played plexis and 2210s of others.This Park G25-R still 10years later BLOWS MY MIND!!!!!!!!!!!!On occasion I will leave my Jubilee at home and gig this amp.As I stated befor I install a extension speaker jack and drive a 4x12 with greenabcks and Holy Kabonky!!!!!!!!!!!!

Still works A-OK evan after the disasters I staed in my last review.Still gets a 15!!!

I still give it a 10 for the $175 I paid I dare you to find and amp that sounds this good and last this long for $175 DARE YOU!!!!!!!!!
I've been around Marshall amps all my life,have played 14yrs,have gigged in 1 National Act and a few local/regional acts.I play for a living and this amp for a backup or a poor mans gigger is a BEAST!!!!!!!!!Eats then shits out the AVTs and Spits on the old Artists.And destroyed my 5150 I had(hated).Gives my tube amps a good run for the money.Actually $175 comapred to $1000 the Park takes the cake!!.............................Maybe I got a good one I dunno??

I have used this amp for sounds from a soft clean to very heavy distortion. It has two channels and can use a footswitch. Has Reverb, realy good sound. I use this amp for band and home practice. When I first started playing guitar and playing in bands I used to use this in small gigs. It worked well enough. I once used a 30w Marshall and this , being only 25w was way louder. Brilliant for a person who is just starting out

Have used many kinds of pickups and guitars on this amp. It has great tone and settings which separate it from others in the same class. Can have a huge variety of sounds.

I have been playing a year now, Own a little peavey amp, which isn't very good. If it was stolen I think I would buy it again, its the best for its price range. Love everything, very versatile. I compared it to peavey and marshalls of the same size and thought it had better distortion and tone controls, don't know why but it is louder than other amps, feels like your playing a much bigger amp.

If your a beginner buy this amp, its only about 60 quid and you wont need to upgrade in size for a long time.
Its big enough for practice and doing gigs.

It's a PARK G 25 R for goodness sake, it was set out for trash day Tuesday night, I saw it Wed morning. Checked it over for cracks, mold and it had the instructions still in the plastic, an extra power cord and no apparent flaws.. Gently placed it in the seat next to me and drove away quickly, but safely.

Had a Harmony hollow body with Dearmond pickup GIVEN to me, along with nice cord, Dearmond pickup has September 30, 1963 on it, sounds pretty good but I don't know what to compare "sounds good" to.

AMPLIFIER WAS FREE, DO YA UNDERTAND ? Wood be great to have a great big amp but this is OK. If I can get started in playing different venues they will be small, ( just right for this amp ) and then I will hopefully learn as I go. ROCK ON.

features are same as the others except that I replaced the 10" stock speakers with a 50watt celestion 12" speaker.(yes it fits!)

I usually use my '60's reissue strat and '72 tele thinline with this amp. I love how it makes the natural sound of the guitars come out.

I play in a classic rock/blues band and I should say that this 25watt amplifier sounds a lot better with a 12" celestion. low notes will definitely sound low! but don't worry, you'll still get that warm tone that comes with the stock 10" speaker. Did I mention that you'll have additional level(like that of a 30watt)when you upgrade to a 50watt 12" so you don't have to worry about not hearing yourself during a jam session.

very reliable. i use this with small venue gigs and I don't even have to mic the bastard! sounds great!

I've been playing for fourteen years and I previously worked in a music store.(where I bought this one very cheap!) This maybe solid state amp but once you crank it up, you'll get that crisp warm tone that you get with a tube amp. You can compare the sound quality to a marshall JCM 900. The nice warm tone, the well defined high and low tones and the crisp gain that you get once you crank it up! Its great!

I think the amp was made in 1994. It is acually a versatile amp, the overdrive channel es great for blues and rock. I also like playing metal but the gain and the tone on the OD channel isn't strong enough. I use it all the time (alone, gigs, rehersals) although it isn't made for gigs or rehersals (hey it's the only one i've got :S). It's been enough for me since the beguining, but i'm thinking of buying a new and more powerfull one.

I use a a Kramer Focus 111S, like i said, rock and blues are great on OD channel, it's tone and gain are quite soft and light, but at the same time it makes it inapropriate for metal. Clean channel pretty good, it would be great if it wasn't for a dammed "dirt" noise it makes right after playing a note, although you don't notice it on high volume. But on high volume (particularly on OD) there is some feed back, it's quite annoying. So we could say that for playing at home calmly its a great amp.

Well i've had it about 2 yaers and a half, and it's never borken down, not even in gigs. I had it repaired a chort time ago, the problem is that it's quite old i got it 2nd hand, so a full repair would cost me too much. But anyway, I could say that it is a reliable amp

Like i said i had repaired a short time ago, but it wasn't actually with an athorized center, couldn't find one.

I've had it for about 2 years and a half. I have ( well actually it's a friend's father's) a concert fender amp, about 100w. I like pluggin my guitar to both amps using my effect pedal, it generally sounds great. I wish it had double it's power actually lol, and an EQ for each channel, but for the moment it's great the way it is. It's great for beguiners, plus it keeps the neighbours happy :P. But for people that are more professional it would be best to buy a more powerfull one.

This is a 1994 Korean amp. This amp is for beginner who goes for blues rock. There are 2 channels on it. Both channels use the same 3 band eq and reverb. There are also a headphone output and a footswitch. I use it at my home and 25 watt is really enough for me.

I use a cort viva gold II with HSH pickup design. I mostly play heavy metal, trash and shred. It is not for my music. I dont yse its overdrive channel. It is very noisy when you use the gain 75% and over. But clean channel is really great for that price. You can use your distortion pedals easily. A great result for the price. My Boss Overdrive-Distortion(OS2) gives great sound. But if you want more distorted sounds by using more extreme pedals like metalzone, deathmetal etc. the amp can not attack easily.
Also yf you will use clean channel at high volumes it has a little feedback.

I dont use it in gigs cause it has too much feedback at high volumes.

I play for 8 years. If your money is not enough for hundreds boxes, it is an excellent choce.

It's a two channel solid-state combo. The overdirve channel has gain and volume controls, the clean channel has a volume control, and the eq section for both channels has treble, middle and bass knobs. This amp also has spring reverb headphone jack and footswitch jack.

I use a Fender Stratocaster and I really like the sound of the clean channel. It makes the single-coil pickups sound "warmer" than in a real Marshall. The overdrive channel is another story, it's very noisy and you can't get a "crunch" tone out of it, but if you set a Stratocaster in the bridge-middle pickup selection and roll of the tone of the middle pickup you can get a nice bluesy lead sound with lots of sustain out of the overdrive channel. You will never get a thrash sound out of this amp, no matter what kind of distorion pedal you use, but you can get real good classic rock or blues tones out of it. The eq is not versatile but it's good. The reverb is really good if you don't turn it more than at 10 o'clock.

As much as I like the sound of this amp I have to say that it's not reliable at all. The clean channel volume knob doesn't work anymore, I have to set it in just one position and use a pedal to change the volume. The eq knobs "crack" everytime I try to change settings, so I have to turn the amp off to change the eq settings and then listen if they're what I want.

As I said before the volume knob doesn't work anymore, but the first time this happened I took it to the service center and they "repaired" it, but after 2 weeks of playing, it broke again.

No matter that the volume knob doesn't work, I still like this amp a lot. I love the clean channel and the reverb. If it got lost or stolen I guess I wouldn't buy it again but I'm sure I'd miss it a lot.

No idea when it was made, I'm new to the whole electronics in amps. I picked it up for a darned nice price with a lovely 3 year warranty second hand. Bargain. It's been the best buy in my music history. I'd been using an absolute shite Fender 10W that my uncle gave me so I thought I'd save up and buy a better second hand one. This one really had everything I wanted, Gain control, A channel select foot pedal socket, Treble, Middle and Bass. The Equaliser is the most important feature as the crappy Fender I had had very little choice in the way of tone. But I'm still trying to find a decent tone that I like (I know there's one there it's just finding it). It's a bit of a beast in the ways of size as a 25W, shockingly, but that's not a worry, makes it look more powerful :P

I'm currently using a Les Paul replica and a Strat replica, but that's 'cause I've only been palying 3 and a half years :P On the Les Paul on distortion, it's gorgeous, makes a really nice audible distortion, especially if I wang up the Treble. On the Strat replica, clean blues sounds the dogs, Just the boinky noise you expect to get. Rythm wise it's a bit muffled, but that's probably 'cause I haven't found that setting yet. There's nothing wrong with it, it just could be better. I played a Carlsbro 150W stack at a shop recently and that was alot cleaner, as an example. As I read in the G10R submission, a guy swapped his 4558D chip with a 2604AP chip and it came out ALOT better. I might have to try that someday, when my warranty runs out :P But, overall, for the price, it's ace.

It's been around, hella lot, plus it's second hand so who knows where it's been before I got my hands on it? Well the strap cover was torn but still functioning, I taped that up, so it must have been hammered about. There's a few dints, nothing's wrong. The only problem I found with it was the LED window was a bit mucky :P (I promptly cleaned and got a lovely 30V or something through me hand). It's been to every practice I've had, always worked a treat. All the elctronics are still in working order, never use the Reverb, don't know what's happened to it by now :P But it's a hella tough amp.

Never tried, but I got a 3 year warranty with it and never even been back to the place since. Seeing as though erm I think the palce I got it from consists of nice people I'll give it an 8.

The thing is, it's the perfect amp for where I am as a musician. It's past the stage of first amp, but before the stage of the amp I'll have until I die. It's very good for what it is and what I paid for it. Everyone laughs because it's not a Marshall or a Carlsbro and I go shut up, you try one out. Well I don't but that's what I would say. To be honest, I won't keep it forever, it's not the amp I want and when I leave college to work, I think I'll probably save up and get a nice Carlsbro 150 stack :D If you're past your first two years of introduction guitar playing, get one.

10" speaker,3band EQ,2 channels,spring reverb,foot switch jack and headphone jackI'll give it a 9 cause its has pretty much all the features I could want except an extension speaker jack(which I added my self) and a presence control would've been nice,but for the price you can't go wrong.

My first Park had a broken reverb tank and I returned it he next day for the one I've got now,but I believe that was just a rough handleing problem hen it was shipped new.And on sound I forgot to mension I don't use the clean channel jumping from a buzzy distortion to a clean clean sound bad to my ear. I run the distortion at a minimum to get that plexi sound,I don't like buzzy distortion,gotta really pinch the strings for the Marshall growl the way I set it.This way its more dynamic it responds to pick attack like a tube amp(well as close as a $175 amp can come.)Sounds respectible with the band but definetly has to be mic'ed.With the vol. on 7.5 and gain on 5 and a humbucker strat mic'ed through the PA guys would ask me what tubes it had.I'd say "transister ones"lol

For sound I give it a 10.This being the absolute best sounding cheapo amp I've ever heard,no its not my JCM 800 head and cab but it only cost me $175 new w/ warrantie.Sound wise it has the classic Marshall growl crank up the gain an it gets a distorted 80's metal sound.I played a stratw/ a JB humbucker through it for years as a gig amp.With a single coil strt it sounds good but is a little tinny cause of the 10" speaker.Also I might add that I installed a extension speaker jack.And this little guy drives a 4x12 like a champ.Used it as a giger when my head blew one night and there was little differance.

For reliabilitie I give it a 15 yes a 15!!!This amp was practiced on close to 10 hrs a day was used to power my cassette deck when I didn't have a stereo.Its been banged around in the band truck carried to every gig as a back up after I bought my Marshall.Its been drop and once broke the cabenet in two pieces and epoxied it back together.I feel on it one night ripping the input jack from the circuit board and cracked the circuit board once and had it repaired(believe it was the time it got dropped and broke in two.)This amp has been through HELL and back and still sounds like new,well except for the reverb which passed away in a band truck incedent(RIP).

Haven't delt with them for this amp.But when I called them for a schematic for my Marshall head they were very prompt.But sent me the wrong preamp schematic so they get a 8

This is the all time best bang for the buck amp ever.Hands down I just don't care!!Like I said above not a Marshall stack or a Matchless combo but for $175 there is no tops.I still jam and practice on it and take it to practice with my second group.I've had it since I believe late 96 or early 97.
