This amp was manufactured in 99, I beleive. It's one of Marshall's Park series solid state 80 watt amps. It's got 2 channels, clean, and boost, and 2 overdrive switches, an effects loop, CD input, and complimentary channel and reverb switching pedal. Basically has the same front panel as the G100RCD head.

I'm plugging in with a Godin G-1000 with stock pickups, and play mostly metal and hard rock. The clean channel is wonderful and bright, however, I must say that by plugging straight into the amp, using the amp distortion, I was a bit dissapointed when trying to acheive a nasty, heavy distortion sound. The distortion sounds a bit too muddy, and uneven. The amp was noticeably quiet though, and may be great for that blues, or classic rock sound, but the amp alone is not that great for a heavy crunch. When plugging in with a Zoom GFX-707, the thing rocked. The distortion was crystal clear, and sounded great. I'll give it a 7 mainly because an amp should sound good without any effects, and in this case trying to acheive a good heavy sound was not possible without an effects processor.

I just bought it, so I wouldn't know how reliable it would be. I would probably gig with this amp.

I've been playing for about 5 years. I also own a 15 watt peavy transtube amp, and just sold a Pearce G-1 preamp. If it were stolen, I would probably look for another amp which has a better direct distortion sound. I like the features of this amp, and I would reccommend it to people.

I have been playing for around 3 years now and love to play and listen to Pantera, Dream Theater, Iron Maiden etc, I love the work of Dimebag and Petrucci. This amp certainly is the best I have ever owned and this will last me a long time. If it were stolen I would get very flustered and probally punch my door down and watch Pantera 3.

I am using a Fender Nashville tele though the amp. I play music such as the Smashing Pumpkins and the Foo fighters, which I can create a very pleasing sound with this amp. The amp is very noiseless on both channels, even with the highest gain setting possible. It is a very versatile amp. I have played on a Marshall DSL40 and a TSL100 and this gain on this amp is a lot more promising at low volumes and is a lot more versatile, though this amp dosnt give you them gorgeous overdriven valve sounds that you get out of the T and DSL, It gives you something you cant get out of either of them amps. This amp also pulls its weight a high Volume, the clean channel dosnt distort and the distortion on the gain channel does not lack.
