This is a 1970 Lead 150. It's got all the features one would expect from an amp of this vintage. The front panel (aligned to the left instead of centered, pretty cool looking) controls are power switch, standby switch, indicator light, fuse, brightness, treble, mid, bass, volume channel one, volume channel two, with four inputs. The back panel has two speaker outputs, variable ac, varible speaker resistance, fuse. If you like your amps full of gadgets and loops, this ain't your amp. I like my amps simple, so judge my feature rating accordingly. Cosmetically this thing rules. The knobs look CNC machined, with blue enamel trim, and the piping is silver and white. Nice logo, too. Sweet.

The "clean" (volume one) channel is very full, round, and surprisingly versitile. My Super reverb is the only thing that beats it in the clean department. It responds well to stomp boxes, and let's the "identity" of the guitar come through. Breaks up only at maximum volume, even for heavy hitters. The volume two channel is typical of Marshall/Park amps of this era, meaning huge and gorgeous. A very articulate sound, with more punch than most vintage plexi Super Leads I have sampled. Really devastating at high volumes. This would be an excellent live amplifier. This is really a one trick pony however, don't expect Line 6 goofiness. But it does the late sixties, early seventies Marshall trick better than anything I have ever heard.

If I could find another, I would definitely buy one again. It is everything I had ever heard about the Park line and more. It does seem to be a Super Lead, just more of everything, if that makes sense. A fantastic vintage Marshall sound. Back in the day these things were sort of inexpensive because most were not wise to the Marshall/Park association, but those days are over. Worth the dough for a Marshall fan
