Features : 10
Single Channel Amp. Volume, Reverb, TMB tone stack, Master, bright switch. Outputs for 4, 8, and 16 ohm loads. I think the best way to describe the features is to say less is more. There isn't an effects loop, channel switching or anything else - it is a plug in and play amp. This one is of course 50W but can be upgraded to 100W.

The amp is very versatile as it goes from beautiful cleans to a nice smooth breakup that sustains with fervor. It can doe Jazz, Blues, and the milder side of Classic Rock. It is not a Rock and Roll amp - that would be its brother, the Original Sewell. This amp excels at smoke infused blues- it is an astonishing sound.

Sound Quality : 10
The cleans are pristine and organic, rich with tone and harmonics. It is a fuller sound than a clean Vox AC30 (compared it to an English made 91 Reissue with blue alnicos.) It is more organic than a Bogner Shiva, which seems a little more pristine than this. The breakup comes on gradually with the volume knob but is rich and solid.

As mentioned above, this is an excellent blues amp where its brother, the Original Sewell seems more geared toward hard rock (a la Lenny Kravitz, etc.) This amp I think excels for blues with the 2x12 open-back cabinet while pairing it with a closed back 2x12 moves it more towards the rock genre.

It is very transparent in that you can really hear the sound of the guitar amplified without really being colored. It becomes an extension of your instrument and that is what an amp should do.

Reliability : 10
Its a PRS...

Haven't dealt with them yet.

Overall Rating : 10
This is a great amp. I have tried a Bogner Shiva, Vox AC30 (the good english reissue,) Mesa Mark IV, Mesa Lonestar Special, and a few others. I love the blues and for that it is the sound I was looking for. The Lonestar special came close but it did not do it this well.
