called directly, spoke to a very knowledgeable rep, and he answered all my questions, since they do not produce manuals or specs for these dinosaurs

Mine is a 1978. Peavey suggests there are 50 watt speakers. It is stamped as a 4 ohm cabinet on the back. If you want year of manufacture information, call peavey's parts department, and they will transfer you to a very helpful person to talk to.
it is series/parallel wired, so 50 watts = 200 watts max
and also a 4 ohm impedance means they are 50 watt, 4 ohm speakers (typical for the day).
All wattage assumptions are based on Peavey's help desk being fairly certain of the speaker wattages.

these are available used for around $200.00 now (Northeast US, 04/19/06). for that price, not a bad buy.

I Think it is 1989, the cabinet is heavy and split in to a top and bottom section. It is wired rather strange. I thought it was series parallel at first but not sure. Conected to a Peavey classic 100 sounds good. I hope to find other enthusiasts that have this cab. I think the speakers are Eminence 12 inch 8 ohm and have sent messages to PEAVEY who are very slow to respond?? You would think that they are interested in people purchasing their products, other than EVH who is making them a ton of money, and get off their asses and cook. Oh well, good cab. Sez 412S.

I am not sure what year it was made. I have expiramented with a Carvin X100 and a Fenader Deluxe Reverb and I must say that this cabinet gives a much larger reproduction of the exact sound the amp puts out into it's own speaker. I wish it was wired stereo or maybe had switchable impedances.
BUILT LIKE A BRICK SHIT HOUSE!!!!

I use it to play 60's,70's,80's metal, new metal, alternative, rock and blues. Crisp and clean. I highly recommend.

I have been playing for 17 years and I am currently using a Jackson strat style guitar, and a Carvin X100 combo. And a multitude of effects. I would be pissed if it were stolen. I would probably move on and try to get something similar.
