very versatile- decent sound thru a 1/4" headphone jack, three basic sounds, despite the single channel- a nice springy clean sound, a warm overdrive, and a nice tubey distortion. no reverb or paramtric EQ, just pre, post, hi, mid, low, and an on/off switch for saturation. 20 watts RMS, despite the amp's name (and where did peavey come up with the numbers in their old amp names?).

crank the amp a bit, and you get both a dynamic, cleanish sound AND hiwatt-style feedback. add the saturation, which is a simple on/off switch, and it's a lot like adding a stompbox to a hum-free fender champ. at 20W RMS, you can get a great tone in most apartments. completely cranked, it's much louder most old 30W or 40W solid state amps you'll hear. good for any country, blues, or rock style, shy of 80's metal, and thank God for that.

made to be THROWN down a flight of stairs without as much as a ding in the tolex.

good folks. 1 year warranty, but you'll never need it with a solid state peavey.

a great little studio amp- a surprisingly natural, tubey sound, and dirt cheap. i won a new one when they first came out (list was $109, but they were selling for $69-it was an introductory special of some kind), and another one, used, for the same 69 bucks about 2 years back. a former friend sold it for crack, but hey, what can you do?
